HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!
Woweeee, so we seemed to have survived the year 2010 without too much drama, hooray! What year it has been too! It was full of events, food and friends! Now I never managed to tell you about the end of 2010, so let me recap before I get onto the upcoming events of 2011...let's go back in time =)
The month of November for me, was a dash to save up as much money as I could for my sg/hk holiday!! I basically worked as much as I could at the cafe and teaching and in between those times I went to Tong 86 with Tree and his new tree-friend, let's call her princess tree, why? well because she's as tall as a tree and very princessy! Anyway she seemed quite nice! I learnt that she had failed her driving test at least 6 times, learning auto...so I guess I like her already haha! After dinner was movie night with the friends! Such good times watching the human centipede!!!
Dorky also started his 2 week holiday, hooray!! We spent the first week eating out, watching movies and shopping, which was great! At the end of his first week we attended Tam and Will's engagement party! This was my first ever engagement party and I was super excited about it! They had 2 spits of lamb for us to chew on as well as some super yum vietnamese spring rolls, salads, noodles, chicken and the best CUPCAKES! Dorky and me also took some photobooth photos, which was awesome...I want to hire it one day!! It was a pretty fun night and I can't wait to go to more engagement parties! So friends...go get engaged soon! Thanks to T&W for inviting us and congrats!! =D
At the end of November I was shaking with excitement because I decided that it was my turn for a nice break, so I flew solo to singapura to meet up with Jas!!! We had a very fast paced 4 days in sg where we ate glorious food with my favourites being the buttery crabs! JB food! dimjoy dimsum! macarons! provence mini pizzas (omg to die for!)!! Muji marshmallows! and the best bar chor mee in toa payoh!! We also went prawning for the first time ever, using rods to catch farmed prawns! It was fun, but I really sucked at it. I let so many beautiful prawns go. Oh well, better luck next time I guess. Thanks to Jas, her friends and her family for bringing me around and for all those meals =D After 4 days, Jas and me flew to hk! EXCITEMENT!!! new place for me to visit! I had plenty of expectations, which I guess wasn't a good thing because I did get let down with the shopping...gaaaah! Why did the hongkies have to sell so much winter clothes for?? Surely people don't need to wear thick furry jumpers at only 20 degrees right?! Shopping was hard, but for cosmetics and other things, I have to say it was damn cheap! Anyway at the beginning of our hk trip, michael, jas and me headed off to Disneyland!!!! So much colour, people and happiness all around. I felt like I was in a dream...except the whole lining up for rides (that sucked). The next few days was shopping and eating with the arrival of charmanda. We also went on a day trip to Macau! A new place to explore =D It took us around an hour by ferry to get there, which wasn't too bad! Macau, to me was like a little world within a world. They had free shuttle buses that took you to all the hotels and heaps of taxis to take you to the in betweens! We visited the venetians, which was so nice as well as the sands casino. We ate glorious portugese food too, yumm...I feel like those clams now. We also did a bit of sight seeing and tasted some portugese egg tarts at a random stall (which were the wrong ones, according to Alan) and also Macaus famous cookies, which were free to taste..shame I was already way to full to take advantage of it. Back in HK we did some sight seeing including the giant buddha, visited some popular markets, lan kwai fong (where the parties were at), the avenue of the stars and a few other things I can't quite remember =D The best part of HK however, was the FOOD! Gosh I swear most of my money went to eating food, in particular crabs, razor clams and mango desserts! So good! I was also able to try some new things like, snake soup, smelly tofu and schezuan food. Was a good trip, but wished all that time that dorky was with me too!! Can't wait to go back again =D
Coming back to perth was quite sad and yet exciting. I missed dorky so much more than I thought I would so I was really glad to be back to celebrate his birthday at La vela, which served good good food! We stuffed ourselves well with pasta, steak and oysters! The next day we celebrated again with lunch...dimsum at dragon! we ate our favourites but no salted egg buns!At night we celebrated dorky's birthday once more with the U2 360 tour at night! The tour was so amazing and gave us both goosebumps..the amount of people was overwhelming as was the band itself...it was just so epic! Hope that Dorky enjoyed his bday weekend, because I sure did!!
As an early xmas celebration, dorky and me went to eat at miss mauds! This time, we didn't get our free bonbons =( but that didn't dampen our spirits too much...the food was satisfying and we somehow got free drinks! Hooray! Can't wait for next year's buffet hehe!
Christmas this year wasn't too eventful because my parents left for a weekend trip but...there was a lot of food and A LOT of cooking for both dorky and me. Plus...it was super hot that weekend so it made us a teeny bit frustrated. I guess at the end of it, we were both satisfied with our efforts and enjoyed unwrapping our presents! Instax and spongebob...who could ask for more?? On boxing day, we had our secret santa gathering at Eva's! We exchanged gifts, which is always fun! Thanks to my SS for my new masterchef cookbook! Lurrrrve it! Merry christmas!
Just before new years, we also had another gathering...pot luck at Serenes! We sat outside with the bugs and enjoyed stuffing our faces with food! Rach's mini burgers were awesome and so was Michelle's strawberry dessert! Mmmm! Afterwards we played taboo, which was such a stressful game, but we didn't quite lose =P Thanks for a great time peeps!
For NYE, dorky and me decided to go to nb for it's street party. I had never been before and wasn't too sure what to expect. We arrived 3 hours before countdown and raomed up and down the streets just people watching and counting how many australian native tribes we could see. We watched live bands play for a while and before we knew it, people had started to countdown to the new year! How exciting!! After the number 0, I think everyone was waiting for some kind of fireworks (or maybe it was just us!) but they just never came! There was glitter and flames....but that was it! ahah oh well..it was a nice welcome anyway!
So that now brings us to the end of events of 2010!! On the first official day of 2011, dorky and me went for a movie by Burswood and watch the legend of the guardians. We had a really really great time with our picnic rug and nibbles and I guess what made the experience better was that the movie was actually good! HOOT! HOOT!
The next day we attended Tree's 25th birthday thing at princess tree's place. It was a 40 degree day and we were stuck outside because it was a pool party...but we didn't bring swimwear =( Soooo, we ate the bbq food instead...steaks and sausages, yumyum!I guess there wasn't a whole lot to do but to dip our legs in the water and chat, which we did! Anyways, we lasted until the late afternoon and headed off for dinner! Happy birthday!
It was my dad's birthday on the 4th! I didn't get my dad a present, which I felt bad for, but I did make him mini pineapple and mango cakes, which turned out pretty good! He appreciated the efforts and i had fun....it kind of put me into a baking phase again! Anyway happy birthday dad!
On Friday night we celebrated the return of Jas with karaoke! A fun and entertaining night as always with the gang!
SO! here we are now 10 days into the new year. My new years resolutions for 2011 starting from today...
Be more active (no laziness)
make more money
save more money
drink more water
grow my hair longer =D
eat less sugar
cook more
wear suncreen
be more hopeful
be more involved
Yeaps! there they are...let's hope that they're all fulfilled! I'm looking forward to a new start this year. I hope for new changes and challenges and plenty of good food to go with it!
Now things to look forward to...
All the best with everyone else's resolutions!

Y Y Y
Hiiii! It's been so long and so much has happened! I miss being able to write and share my adventures with all of you, although you must find it boring. I don't even know if anyone reads my blog anymore, but muacks if you still do!
Anyway, just a few things that have happened since my last post...
Winterbeatz! It was a pretty relaxing and fairly quiet night. Not alot of people turned up for this event, which was surprising. I thought with Neyo as the headline, there would be a lot more people attending, but I guess I was wrong. It was fun to watch acts try and involve the crowd and fail haha. Wasn't a bad night. 2 for 1 FTW!
We had a mini road trip to Mundaring for the truffle festival, which was exciting! I love road trips!! For a little town, the place was packed with people and good food. Even though it was hard to get around, with the pushing and squeezing through crowds, we were still able to get a few good bites. Pasta with truffles, moon burger with truffle butter and some rissoto ball things (they have a special name that I cbb searching up) with truffle salt. The food was a wee bit expensive, but very satisfying and different! Was a good day out and we will definitely be going back next year!
On August 8th, it was Eva's 22nd birthday at Hog's Breath! I remember that I hadn't seen anyone in ages so I was excited about the gathering and of course to celebrate with Eva and FOOD! Jas did this personality test thing on us and I learnt a few things about myself. I know what I want in a horse/guy, how I react in times of stress and also that my ego is the size of a 30cm x 30cm box haha. Better than bf's who's ego was the size of a car, gees...but so true! Anyway, food and company was awesome and what made it more awesome was getting a hog's breath discount card hehe! Hope Eva had a great birthday!
Rachael had planned to go to India for 5 weeks as part of her physio prac and wanted us to attend her fundraising dinner at Annalakshmi, next to the swan bell tower. I never knew this place existed, but it was pretty cool. They served us an authentic Indian buffet dinner, which was all vegetarian food, I think. Some of the food was good and others were spicy and interesting haha. I packed my plate with food, because I'm pretty greedy like that and I regretted it, I wasted food and I felt bad. Oh well...it seemed like a lot of people did the same. Anyway, the night was good and thanks to Rach for inviting us, hope all goes well with the rest of her course =)
On August 21st, it was election day! Prior to all this happening our former PM, K-rudd was booted out by his own party and we got Australia's first female PM, Julia Gillard, which was a total shock to everyone. There were mixed reviews about all this happening and I guess these reviews were reflected in the election results. Australia just couldn't decide who they wanted to run the country and so it was a hung parliament. In the end, after a week of negotiation the Labor party won and Julia Gillard remains as our PM, it's all written down in history now. Now I'm just waiting for that fast internet like they promised...
Jas, bf, gerri and me also participated in our first ever City to Surf! None of us trained for this event and went straight into the 12km walk. I was realllllly excited and became even more so when I saw how many people were a part of this race, there were so many that they made public transport free! Now that only happens on Australia Day! Anyway, our group was last to leave the starting line, but we were not the last to cross it, if that makes sense. We started off strong on our walk and passed by many people. I was also mesmorised by all the people and surroundings...it got a bit overwhelming and distracting when I had to concentrate on not tripping in front of so many people. For every 2km that we walked they had point checks with drinks, which I took advantage of every time! Amazingly, I didn't need to go pee once! After about over halfway I felt tired, my hands were stiff and my voice was basically gone! We continued on and finally made across the finish line at around the 2hour mark? Haha...I thought we did better than that! Oh well, we shall improve next year! We collected our medals and the disappointing thing was, we didn't get our powerade!!!! But! It was all fun =)
In the month of September it was Sara's birthday at Utopia! It was such a surprise to find out that she wanted to go there, as she is the most un-asian asian that I know! She booked out the function room and had snacks and Moet! Anyway, everyone was having a great time singing and chatting then all of a sudden the power went out and not only at Utopia, but the whole of James street was out. It was BIZARRE! Finally, something eventful happened and I was a part of it =D Everyone seemed a bit lost, but I found it fun haha. Sara didn't seem to be upset at all, I think she was just high and happy to get some money back! Hope Sara had a great time and thanks for giving us a different kind of karaoke experience!
The third term school holidays marked the arrival of the Perth Royal Show! Ahhh! I love this time of the year! I had been waiting for the show to come since it ended last year! The show this year seemed different because we actually went and browsed everything properly and tasted more things. We really took our time and before we knew it it had gotten dark! We bought 3 showbags between us, which wasn't very much, but we did buy lots of food! Sausages on sticks, lamb dinners, lamb curry, curly fries, plutopup and many others! We also bought some lavendar products...I'm in love with the lavendar lollies and the vanilla soy candle I got, gosh I sound like a granny. But anyway...I'm in a lavendar phase! Also, the fireworks were really awesome too, I got some great pictures =) After I got home, bf accompanied me to steal some lavendar from a neighbours garden, ah such a great day! Can't wait for next year!
It was Jasmine's 22nd birthday on the 1st and she had a house party! It's been ages since I attended a house type of party with people I didn't know, so it was fun to people watch! It was also good to put faces to names that I had heard jas talk so much about, it was interesting!Anyway, whilst I was doing that the broadway pizza arrived and it was my first time trying them...they were really good! Adam and his gf also cooked a yummy mushroom pasta and a tomato based one, I thought they did a good job! Jas also served us cupcakes and i also saw 2 or 3 other types of cakes and thought crap, as we had also bought 2 ice cream cakes as part of her present haha! Oh well, cakes for everyone! We also played charades haha! We were put into mixed teams, all a part of jas's plan for us to mingle I think =P The game was pretty funny! After that we chatted more a bit by bit everyone started to head home. Twas a good night Jas! Hope it was a nice break from your stressful studies!
The very next day Jas, Michael, bf and me went to Rottness! I had only been once in my life and that was when I was little and I barely remembered it and it was Jas's first time! Anyway, we met up in Fremantle and boarded the huge ferry...it was one nice boat! We hired some bikes on the ferry and after a while, before we started to get seasick we got off and collected our bike. We got acquainted with our bikes (mine was just too big for me!) and before we knew it, we were riding it to our first destination on the island...a seafood restaurant haha! We brunched on fish and chips, chilli mussels and prawns, yum! After that it was time to start our bike trek...we didn't really know where we were going, we just rode in a direction. We ended up seeing some really beautiful scenery and I had no idea Rotto was such a nice place! The best part was stopping by a beach, which had such white, soft sand and the clearest water that I had ever seen at a beach. We also visited the lodging village, a lighthouse and saw quokkas (though not very many), which were really cute, minus their rat tails, yuck! At 3:30 we had to head back to catch our ferry back home, but what a great workout for our legs and the best thing? We didn't get sunburnt yay!!
Another event that I was excited about at this time of the year was the UWA spring feast and Curtin's Pasar Malam!!! Bf and me actually researched when they were going to be held, since we missed out on last year's spring feast. Anyway, this year was THE year we were going to make both! The spring feast was super crowded, but we got to eat our beloved curry fishballs and was paid $5 to eat them hohoho. We tried something we had never seen being sold in perth before...fatty pork in a bun! yummmm! we got 3 of those and scoffed them down very fast. We also tried a hongkong styled soup, which was nice and ate some other random food too. A week later we attended the curtin pasar malam and we were surprised to see that the layout had completely changed from last years! They had stall tents set into 2 lines and a stage on one end. It was a bit like we were boxed into one area, but it was bigger! The lines to all the stalls were ridiculously long and we had to wait 30 minutes just to get food! We lined up for ramly burgers, soup noodles, rice, curry fishballs, and a really yummy indo dish, which I forgot the name. I think the lining up issue kind of ruined my excitement for the night as well as getting bitten by ants!!! but meh! All in all, I enjoyed the food and that was the main thing!
During baddy, Jen, Eva and me thought of the idea of BBQing, since the weather was getting nice! So Jen organised it a week later at "heath cove" lol! Heathcote was packed out so we moved someplace else I had never been to before, but it was still lovely and more quieter! We brought our share of BBQ goodies and started to gobble down burger patties, sausages and buns, simple but yum! Big Dan also brought his shedding, hyperactive dog, which was cute, so I had entertainment watching it. Then there was the weirdo taichi lady with her legs in the air and dog rolling around not far away. We also met Ben 10! The guys played "ballsack" haha and I played footy with dorky! Such a relaxing day and thanks Jen for organising it hehe!
Yesterday was Ama's 22nd birthday! She organised a little bbt session/catchup with us. Just like old times we gossiped, drank our bbt (thanks ama for shouting). Gave my stomach a good workout with all the laughter hehe. So nice to catch up and don't worry ama and jas...you guys will do well in your exams, soon we shall holiday and forget the stress for a while, can't wait! Happy birthday ama =)
So that's it with my main adventures, now for some upcoming events:
- Harry Potter part 1 in IMAX style!
- Trip to SG and HK in december!!!
- U2 concert with my bebe!
- Dorky's birthday!
- Christmas
- Hoping that the year 2011 will be a great one!
Now for some thoughts to end with...
So I'm finding this year to be strange, not in a good or bad way. It's just different, maybe a bit too comfortable? I feel like I am floating around, not really knowing what to do. The people around me are fast finding their feet in life and I'm jealous of that because I'm still looking. I wonder when it will be my turn. I really need a change, some excitement, a challenge and a real big push forward...it's frustrating.
Having such cruisy days feels so wrong when everyone else is either working or studying their butts off. I can't say I envy them for being all stressed and tired all the time, but I do envy how productive they are. I have been motivated to want more in life, to go out there and try my hardest and give myself options. I just hope trying hard will pay off in the end and I also hope that everyone around me who works hard gets what they deserve. Goodluck to everyone and me.
Pleeeeeease let it be my turn soon!
Just a shout out to the people in my life...they have been great. Especially you, you and you.

Welcome back to the blogging world, evy!
Hideeeeehoooooo! Did you guys miss me? Sorry for not updating sooner...time has just flown past without me really registering with what has happened! It's horrible when things just seem like a complete blur, but it's OK I guess after a month and a half things have settled and I is back with more ramblings and recounts of what I've been up to!!!
OK! Sometime in June, the Fit-R-Us gang headed to Bullsbrook for our much anticipated event...THE MAZE! We all got up wonderfully early and headed to Jas's place for car pooling, but disaster struck early when we found out that ama and charm had broken down on the side of the freeway and couldn't make it =( They told us to continue with the event without them, so we went ahead with our plans for breakfast at maccas. We met up with Eva and the rest of the gang and feasted on wonderful sausage and eggs muffins and hasbrowns...mmm! The mini road trip to bullsbrook was pretty eventful too, there was a detour, jas almost driving on the wrong side of the road and waking us up very well and PINEAPPLE LUMPS! We were having so much fun already and we hadn't even started the mazes. Anyhoo! We arrived at our location and decided to enter the biggest maze without much hesitation, this is what we came here for! We entered together and somehow got split up into 2 groups...my group thought the maze was easy until we got in halfway, then we kind of got lost...I would've been scared if I was by myself...nothing was scarier than the slide we went down though...it felt more like a vertical drop! fun though! After we all found each other again we tried the rest of the mazes...the 2 pine mazes where one of us got badly injured by a tree root...lucky we were prepared for it! There were also some mazes that required the use of the brain, I ended up just following everyone and made it out, smart! Then there was the disc golf (i think that's what it was called) which was the most fun activity to do there...it's just like mini golf except much bigger and instead of a ball and club you throw a frisbee! I came last in this =( The park also offered a 9 hole mini golf course, which was packed and made us rush through it a bit. We did a lot of other stuff too like, animal sight seeing (kangaroos, koalas, birds birds birds and peacocks!) lunch at the iguana cafe, rope maze and lots more! I would say that we all had a blast and thanks to all who made it possible =D
Also in the last half of June, my books from the bookdepository came! I was so excited to receive them because of the whole free shipping deal and discounted books, so awesome...thanks dorky for organising it all for me =) My brother left Perth for Sydney again after a 3 week holiday...it felt like he had never left...so annoying haha, but hope he enjoyed the comforts of home again it was good to have him back =) The iPhone also got a major update, which changed my phone alot...now I can multitask, put apps into folders, zoom with my camera, change my background, pinpoint where i take my photos on a map and heaps more...it's quite amazing =)
I also caught up with the highschool friends, christine, sarah and sharlene and christine's new house in kardinya! Chi cooked us a yummy pasta lunch with salad and I brought along chocolate crackles as a house warming gift =) Gosh, I miss these girls so much and the memories of the stupid fun things we used to do at school. It's good to say that none of us has really changed much, we are all so weird still and hilariously funny! They have all travelled so much and we were listening to Sarah's europe/usa trip that she had just been on...so lucky. I wonder when it will be my turn to explore the world? I would love to visit london and new york!!! Anyway, it was a really good catchup session for me especially, since I've been out of whack with everything so it was good to hear about the going ons of each of their lives...from all the news I've heard I'm really happy for the girls! lovelovelove them!
On the 1st of July dorky took me to watch eclipse! I was really excited and anxious too and not because I had teaching the next morning. I had higher hopes for this movie because i knew that there had to be more action in this one than the last 2 movies and also...eclipse is my favourite book out of the whole series, so it couldn't be a let down! All I can say is nice...hehe! I loved it and noticed a lot of things, like how hairy edward is, how small jacob's eyes really are, how much prettier bella is in this movie and also how awesone jane is...hehe i'm such a twilight fan it's sad. But yay! Thanks for the movie date dorky =)
With July, there also came the school holidays, yay for no last minute teaching jobs and boo for kids being everywhere for 2 weeks! At the end of the first week, the gang had a movie night at eva's house! We all kind of rocked up really late because of work and late dinners. Once we were gathered and had paid our packet of marshmallows to eva we started jas's chubby bunny game! Omgosh...it was really quite gross, amazing, deadly but fun all at once! We filmed each other stuffing marshmallows into our mouths and even us spitting it out....mmm soggy marshmallows! We went for 2 rounds and averaged our scores and eva won..shes got some good mouth stuffing skills! We also watched a movie beforhand? But! I can't remember what we watched...grr! Oh well, funfunfun!
Eva and Jas left for there Melbourne trip! They were so lucky...i really wanted to go and eat and shop too! But oh well, I'm sure there will be plenty of other opportunities...hope that had an awesome time!
At the end of the holidays Sarah planned a night out for us girls...kind of like a farewell thing. She was moving to Brisbane =(!!! It seemed really sudden, but she said she had thought about it and needed a change in life, so good on her for being brave and getting out there. Anyway, Sarah wanted a fun night out in nb to have drinks and be silly but at the very last minute before we were to meet, Sharlene cancelled saying she was having boy troubles and was really upset so the mood kind of changed and we decided to have a night in. We had chicken with tereteh for dinner, which puzzled me and it ended up being a 'fancy' name for chicken treat haha. We drank champagne and had toasted so many times to bazza and her boy troubles, sarah going away, rugs, chicken tereteh, passion pop and so much more haha. We attempted to watch movies but got carried away with icecream and strawberries and passion pop..omgosh grossest drink ever I had to add sugar...i felt drunk after 2 sips! Anyway our night out turned out to be a cosy night in, I think I enjoyed this more than going out because we could talk and just be silly in comfy clothes hehe. I hope Sarah has a blast in Brisbane and that everything goes well for her...I'm gonna miss her heaps and I'm sad I hardly caught up with her while she was here (taking people for granted...sigh) but I guess now I have an excuse to go visit her yay!
On a Monday night dorky and me had a dinner date with treeboi and chenelle. They recommended that we go to a place called la lola in nedlands? It was a small and warm looking place and the only lively place on the whole street that night! After a little wait outside for a table (they don't take bookings) we got a table for 4 and started reading the menu. Everything looked really good! We started with starters/tapas hehe!! They were yum, especially the paper thin beef and omg i ate bruchetta with roasted capsicums and I didn't want to be rude and say I'm not eating that...so I was forced to...it tasted ok, not my favourite though! For our mains I got a lemon and crab spaghetti dish and had some smoke salmon pizza, which was so good! Chenelle let me try some of her lamb shank, which was very tender and I also tried dorky's horfun looking homemade pasta..yum! For dessert we had tiramisu (my new food phase!) and the tree had a bread pudding, which was pretty nice =) Food aside, we talked and caught up a lot, it was really great and refreshing catching up with them actually =) I can see that they love food just as much as us so I think there could be more dinner dates in the near future (i hope) yay!
On the theme of catching up with old friends on Wednesday, I caught up with Miri from uni! We decided it was time to meet and since she was back from korea, we could! We met in the city for lunch at Takas. She told me she was just outside Takas when the naked man with a gun was on the billboard and she got the shock of her life haha...you had to see her expression, it was so funny! We talked about her going back to uni and she seemed really stressed about needing to pass her prac...i hope she does so she can stay here! We also discussed teaching, korea and bfs! haha! I accompanied her in dropping off resumes for work around the city before we went food shopping then it was home for both of us. I'm glad she's back, she's such a cute friend to have =)
On Friday i finally caught up with Jenny, after a year! I kept randomly bumping into her and saying we had to catch up properly! Anyway we decided to do what we used to do back when we were younger...to meet at our busstop and train it to the city! We ended up eating at the pancake place on carrilon for lunch...it's such a good place! It was my second time there and I can't remember who I went with on my first time (annoying me that I can't think! if it was you...tell me!). I ordered the seafood crepe, banana smoothie and wedges to share...yum! We then started to browse around, which ended up with us shopping quite a bit, tops and we bought the same shoes! haha impulse buy! Shopping with jenny is bad! she says everything is nice haha but she's so sweet though =) We talked non-stop, like we used to, looked at pretty things, kept eating even though we were full and just didn't want the day to end. Gosh...that day that I felt really happy and satisfied, I think that my satisfication was also due the week of catchups I had had! Good fun =)
I might organise bbt tonight or sometime during the week, feel like catching up with the gang and hearing more about melb, uni adventures and everything in between =)
Some random news so far...
- dorky finally fixed his car suspension so no more clonkclonkclonking! I look forward to that smooth car ride again!
- my placement form is due on the 8th of october (don't let me forget about that!)
- i've been watching sg series...singaporeans are so dramatic! but it's sooooo addictive, now I know why ama is always watching them haha
And finally, just a few things coming up in the near future:
- winterbeatz on the 31st! (neyo!!)
- mundaring truffle festival! (but no rockclimbling =( )
- my first tax return! (still have to do it!)
- paying for car insurance and rego (byebye tax return)
that's it! byeeeeee and take care everyone =)

Ni hao!
WINTER IS HERE!!! I have vowed to myself to stay rugged up this season for the fear of getting sick! I'm feeling really vulnerable with the chills and sniffles that I've been getting, not good! I recently got a jumbo plush blanket, which I love (thanks to you =)) and I will be consuming multivitamin tablets to help keep my health up and if all goes well...I shall evolve into super-strong pandee, so watch out for that one =P
Anyhoo what's up, buttercup? The same old, same old really. It's been a pretty standard month of June so far...
On the 5th, Dorky surprised me with the book, "The short second life of Bree Tanner", which is a spinoff from the Twilight book series. I haven't read it yet because I'm still trying to finish The Vampire Diaries book, The return! I'm becoming so vampirised, help me! Speaking of vampires and Twilight, Eclipse is coming soon and it looks good so I'm excited! I wish to have a Twilight party, but I think that it's going to be lame and I will probably be the only guest so boohoo to that idea.
The 8th of June marked the season end to one of my favourite shows, Glee! As well as the end to all my other favourite shows like Vampire diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210 and the list goes on! What will I watch now? I should really go back and finish One Tree Hill, Iron Chef and start newbies like The Big Bang Theory and The Modern Family =) TV galore...I'm becoming such a couch potato, grr!
I haven't seen much of my friends this month, think everyone is busybusy...oh well, guess we are all kind of growing up and entering the working life now (so sad). But it's OK! This Sunday we are meeting up for our highly anticipated MAZE event! It should be good I think, I've always wanted to get lost in a maze! Plus, it'll be a mini road trip for us and you know how I love road trips! Very excited!
Last Tuesday night, dorky, Alan and me got in a car and mini road tripped it down towards Mandurah to watch the Glory play a friendly game with a local team there. Anyway, we scoffed down maccas for dinner, I don't know why when there were 2 HJ's along the way but haha it was fun and I got a world cup cup! Heaps of people turned up to the game, which I felt was in the middle of nowhere...it was just unbelievable that we had to line up to get in! I guess they were all there to watch dorky's beloved Robbie Fowler play and hopefully score a goal, which he did ( a tap in!). The game was fully owned by Glory, who won 8-0, how amazing and if only they could play like that every game, right? It was like too easy! Anyway the night then got progressively colder and colder towards the end of the game ,until I felt my nose go numb and by that time we were already in the car with the heater blasted on the way home =) Good night!
My brother is also back in Perth for a 3 week holiday! I haven't seen him for a year, which is amazing and he hasn't changed much at all, still annoyingly annoying. But it is good to see that he is at least well! We had a steamboat for him, which was yumyum and my mum used our new dual pot steamboat that I got a few years ago, so really it's not that new! It worked very well and I was very stuffed after that, but I still went out for San Churros with dorky straight afterwards! We both got spanish hot chocolates, which was mega thick, especially with the addition of marshmallows and we also indulged in churros for 2! I felt so happily satisfied that night!
The World Cup is also on at the moment! I guess it is pretty hard not to get lost in the hype of things. Although I'm not really into it as much as some people are. I appreciate the world's countries getting together to compete, all in good sport, but I have yet to watch a match! Dorky tells me that there are some wannabe fans who have suddenly started to support soccer and I agree, facebook is covered with them! Oh well...as long as everyone enjoys themselves! I also made a bet with him, so I hope Brazil wins =DDDD
Hmm, not too sure whats been going on besides working, eating out randomly, watching movies and browsing the usual shoopping centres? Life is such at the moment!!
That's it for now =P

It's almost the end of the best month of the year with lovely autumn weather, getting spoilt and spoiling others...the downside?...sigh another year older and no taller =(
My birthday came a few weeks ago and I decided to celebrate with the friends! It started with the wonderful uni girls on a Friday night at Burswood. We organised to meet at Sirroco restaurant where I was surpised with a big gift, wrapped in wrapping paper made by kindy's! We did our usual catchup and heard Sara's funny take on life. I learnt that she was the co-owner of her parent's Thai restaurant...gosh her life sure is on track, with her own house as well(pressuring me to get my own life sorted too eeps!). We realised that Sirroco was abnormally quiet for a big restaurant..like really quiet that it felt like we were being watched? The food wasn't spectaculiar, only so-so, but I guess the company was great! We headed into the casino after dinner for a few machine games, which were a total fail, but we got drinks that eased our spirits a little, so all was good. Then it was off the Dome cafe for more drinks of a different kind! As we drank, we saw a large woman wobble on the spot then collapse in front of an audience...so bad, but funny! I believe she was ok in the end! Anyway, after a relaxing and fun time, we decided to call it a night...it was really awesome seeing the girls again and too bad we only see each other every 6 months...they really should move down south! hehe
On Saturday night I met up with the gang for more birthday food goodness...indian! Dorky organised for everyone to meet at the Turban restaurant for a hearty curry-based buffet, because I had always wanted to go there! The staff at the Turban were nice enough to decorate the table for us with confetti and banners...so nice we should've tipped them haha, but no. The night started off really really warm, which effected my appetite a bit, not sure about anyone else though. There were so many curries to choose from, most of them I had no idea what they were because I failed to see the name tags at the bottom until later. They all actually tasted pretty awesome...gosh i love curries...especially the butter chicken mmm! The desserts were more of an aquired taste to me though...except the fruit! So at the end of the dinner, I only ate maybe 2 and a half plates? which isn't much at all for my standards...must've been all the rice that I ate...grr! after dinner it was bowling time, found conveniently next door! We all played 2 games...1 game with the gutters up and one with them down. I noticed that my scores didn't really differ, which was weird, but for others the difference of scores between the 2 games were big! haha! I got to guess and open my presents, thanks guys for the gifts..love them all!! dorky also bought me a pin to take home (always wanted one)! To all my friends that came and celebrated with me...thank you and love you for making my night special xxxxx
The next day was the official birthday day! Dorky took me to freo for lunch, but being mother's day as well, it was sooo packed with people! After walking around for a while, we settled with Soho burgers along the freo cappuccino strip! We were given a funny slanty table outside and ordered their very yummy pizzabase garlic bread and burgers! That meal was so filling...actually the whole weekend was super filling! After lunch we walked about some more to digest then back home it was for me for a special Mother's day dinner. Thanks to you my dork for a wonderful birthday, you always spoil me, you naughty boy! Love you! and love my mum too!
The next weekend was dorky's friend's, Minh's wedding reception dinner at Dragon Palace! I was pretty excited to go there that I took ages figuring out what to wear, but I ended up having my jacket on all night because it was so cold...grr! We were seated pretty far back from the stage, which was ok as I hardly knew anyone there, but we were also seated with the most random weird 30 something year old people! They made nasty comments as we just smiled awkwardly...that kind of feeling...luckily the food was pretty good and there was plenty of wine...so all was fun =) Besides the rude randoms, the night was pretty nice...love weddings!!
The next night was our semi-formal formal dinner! We all frocked up and the guys suited up and got together for the most scrumptious dinner, cooked by our wonderful friend, weiwei! Also, Eva and Jason provided us with good and a bottle of weird red wine too, yum! After a little chitchat weiwei served up a chicken, mushroom and pasta entree...which was yummmmm, seriously good!! Then he prepared our main, which was steak with mash, beans and his own sauces, even more yum!! Then we had Michelle's sweet pink cake dessert, yum! From eating, to drinking and chatting we were then onto photo taking at our little white background setup! The guys put on their serious faces as eva snapped away, then it was the girl's turn! Hehe! Afterwards we tried out the new cranium game that was given to me on my birthday =D It was pretty complex but we managed to play for a while...think we need a whole night in order to finish it though! A great night had by all I'm sure...let's do it again soon!
The Friday night just passed, was wei2 farewell party before his trip around the world! Such a hard working dude...we all think he has definitely earned his freedom! Anyway the party...was held at Kevin's house! Lots of people came in and out and I got to see a lot of my old church friends and some of them sure have grown up...makes me feel ancient. I hardly ate any of the fingerfoods...one of my favourite types of food, because we ate too much at Jus burger =( Wei got a present from all of us, a Gucci toiletries bag (thanks to Tina who organised!) full of goodies, hope he enjoys it! I found that the night was pretty relaxed with my fruitpunch, just hung out with the gang and then we headed off before midnight. So sad...the last time I'll see wei for a while, hope that he has a great adventure!! Anyway afterwards, some of us went and got supper at Hong Kong cuisine...it was a bout to close so they only let us get takeaway. We brought back the food to ama's house for a mini feast and played words with friends on the iphone...jas and me won (of course!) =P
The next night was IP man 2 with dorky and chicken! The movie starred Michael Wong (Donnie Yen) hoho! The movie was pretty good, but I think I liked the first movie better. This second movie made me glare at caucasians, think the ones sitting next us felt nervous and quickly left...poor things. Anyway after the moobie it was dinner with charmanda at Tony Romas, which quickly changed to Hogs breath...too many people dine out on a Saturday night! Didn't have too high of an expectation for HB, my last experience wasn't great, but surprisingly the food was pretty good this night! Steak and ribs were pretty awesome and plus, they gave me so many curly fries that i couldn't finish them! yummm! Twas a good night =)
Ahhhh...i cbb writing anymore, I had other things I wanted to say, but I'm lazy now! So when I can think....i shall be back!

Goodbye April, hello May....the best month of all...no need to say why either...you should all know the reason hehe!
Anyway, let me quickly enlighten you with the events of April!
My parents returned from Sydney with krispy kremes (which disappeared within a day) and said that the only thing they liked about the place, was the variety of food, everything else sucked according to them...guess they had a totally different experience to me then. I loved Sydney! Anyway, after 2 weeks of them being away I was glad for the paros to be back, my cleaning/cooking/washing role dropped by 75% haha, but the nagging increased by say...100% meh!
Also, on one of the nights the gang got together for TABOO night! I was quite excited because we were playing a new game. It required a lot of thinking and brain work, but I think we did pretty well =) I remember that I munched on way too many chips, which ended up being my dinner for that night =( More games please!
The very next day was another FRU event, kicking and running around, with a ball! The turn out was pretty good, 9 people I think with the girls versus 3 guys haha. We kicked, we ran and laughed until our stomachs hurt and in the end I think the teams ended up being quite even although I think the girls were alot better =D Surprisingly, I was a lot more tired after this event than any other! Good stuff!
One of the major highlights for the month and probably the year so far was going to Margaret River =D We began our trip day with breakfast at the markets haha! I swear the food there is pretty good and cheap...had the usual bacon, eggs and sausages with OJ. Bought a few road trip snacks and away we went! We experienced a lot of road works along the way that delayed us a bit, but learnt that those lollipop people that hold up stop signs earn $90 grand a year...how awesome! hehe we finally got into MR town at around 3pm then headed towards Prevelly, where our beach apartment awaited us =D The place that we stayed at was amazing...so so pretty! We settled in and then headed into town to buy something to cook, steaks and sausages with mash...we're awesome cooks now =P The next day was our 3 year anni and we celebrated with a whole day wine tour around the region. We were picked up first by Bushtucker tours in a mini bus and then it continued to picked up other tourists. Our tour guide was called Silvano, who was pretty funny and very polite. He took us to our first winery and there we tasted 6-8 red and white wines...it was alot considering we hadn't even had lunch yet! Next we went to knotting hill and tasted 6 more wines before a light lunch of cold meats, kangaroo, salads and bush tucker haha (bush tomato relish is nice!). We visited more wineries still, including my favourite...the grove where they let us try liquers and ports and made us cocktail shots! Then there was the chocolate factory, the cheese factory then finally the duckstein brewery where dorky got is first taste of german beer...i even drank some! That night, after the tour we headed into town for dinner. We dined on marron, risotto and steak...yum!!! The very next morning we cooked breakfast and ate it on the verandah and watched the waves =) We also made the journey to Berry Farm, which was very country-like, to buy ports for my mum and we also stayed for scones, jam and cream! For the rest of the afternoon we were at the beach watching the famous MR waves, which were cool because they rolled in at different directions and they even clashed into each other! we watched surfers for a while and also visited the MR river mouth, which was pretty nice too. Next day, it was our last for the trip, which meant home time =( But we decided to take the scenic route back and stopped by Dunsborough, Busselton and Bunbury for lunch at a random cafe. It was such a wonderful trip with you, one that I'll always remember, so thankyou and love you!!
Hehe, anyway on the last night of April, the whole gang got together for a reunion dinner at Lackers Grill! The menu looked good, with steaks, burgers and best of all, ribs! I couldn't resist the honey bbq baby back ribs and dorky got the rib eye =) Whilst waiting for our food we mingled and chatted like we used to..it was really nice to have everyone together! The food was awesome and I vowed to go back to lackers again one day...anyone want to join? hehe! After dinner we all went to utopia for more chatting and even met Sing along the way...a bit random though ahah. Fun and satisfying night, ,so thanks to tina for organising =D we really should do it more often =)
Dorky and me have been going on little food adventures lately, think he's getting more and more hungry, because our serves are getting bigger each time! We went for lobster yee mee at singapore hawkers and omg it's really good! you should all try it...the golden king prawns were good too! And just last night dorky and me went to the fish and chip shop at southlands and ordered plenty for just 2 people. We drove to heathcote and munched on the best valued fish and chips, squid rings, pineapple fritters, crab sticks, mushy peas and curry sauce ever! Are we pigs or what? =( Oh well, we both live for food!
Think that's it for now...catching up with friends and food (again) at the end of this week...hopefully it should be good!
Still need to do that photo entry!

Haha, I came across this Natalie Dee comic a few weeks ago and thought that it was time to share it with all of you
http://www.nataliedee.com/ There are heaps more weird and random comics on the site, so enjoy!
So a month's worth of events has passed by within a blink of an eye and here I am struggling to remember them. I am also in a really cbb mood right now and feel like postponing this entry, but I already uploaded a picture and I can really only post it on Tuesdays so BAH! I shall proceed and snack whilst I write =D
Okaaaaay...let's start with the month of March...
The greatest shave was on and Treeboi Hiew decided to participate this year, so bf and I were invited to his new house for the viewing of the shave! He, along with a friend raised money together, $1500 or something like that for charity, so good on them! Anyway, after a bit of mingling amongst the guests the shave began and everyone went crazy with the photos...I even got a snap of Treeboi's new head...I'm sure I could use it for blackmailing somehow in the future =) Anyway, after that was done some of us headed to the Raffles hotel for drinks and a bit of food, which I didn't eat but had one of the nicest passion pina coladas ever. I really want to go back for half price pizzas and tapas one day mmmm!! Once that was over bf and me decided to have chilli mussels for supper and invited treeboi and chenelle too. We met at the all night pizza cafe then headed to concas only to find out they were closing so we went back to the ANPC and had chilli mussels there instead...by the time we had finished it was already around 3am...it brought back great staying-out-late-memories...gosh things have changed for all of us...I guess we're all just getting old now!
Next day was the chilli fest in freo! Entry fee was $15 pp, a bit of a rip but good chilli foods inside! We tried chilli mussels/squid/prawns...omg was mouth wateringly good, a chilli everything hotdog, tried some chilli salami things and the "Death sauce", which was a good name for it since it left a burning sensation in our mouths for 30 minutes and at one point made us feel dizzy and almost made us want to faint, not even icy poles or cold drinks would take away the burning...omg never again. But other than that it was a great festival...next year come join us!
The next weekend was Ting's birthday dinner at the Brisbane, which was quite a nice venue but superly packed inside. We waited quite a while for a table because it seemed like everyone was having a birthday there too haha. Ordered a salmon with salad, which was super good and picked off bf's steak yummo. Ting made us all buy Easter raffle tickets from Amber's school...doesn't seem like I won, since I didn't get a phonecall =( But anyway, after the Brissy we went to Dragon palace for karaoke...we stayed for maybe 1 or 2 minutes to see what it was like inside then left for Metros to meet up with the gang haha. Metros has....changed a lot! The music sucked and the people that night were mostly seedy, bad dancing indians!! I hadn't laughed out loud like that in a while, I just couldn't believe how bad it was, tsk tsk! Good to see everyone out and about though!
Next day was another FRU session. We didn't get enough players for indoor soccer so it was changed to badminton and at first only 3 of us turned up...it was so sad that we almost declared it a fail, but Jason turned up and saved us haha. We played a few fun matches, which ended with us inventing a new game called, "elbowball". You pretty much hold your raquet backwardish? so that the netting part is where your elbows are and you hit the shuttlecocks by flicking the raquets upwards..haha kind of hard to explain but you should view it for yourself one day! It's an awesome invention =D After another success story, Jason invited us over to his place for pasta and lemon lime bitters, which he cooked and made for us, yay! There was also dessert too, he played a very good host to us all, so thank you for the unexpected lunch =)
On Monday the next day (22/3) after work a great storm hit sleepy Perth. It started like any other storm, dark clouds formed there was thunder and lightning, a bit of rain at first then suddenly tiny bits of hail started to fall then giant golf sized ones!! We had to let Danny in because he was freaking out and then the rain got really heavy and wouldn't quite stop...it fell so hard that it didn't have time to soak into the ground so it flooded everything. We started to get rain inside our house so out came the buckets and mops. I thought the storm was quite bad where I was but after looking through facebook I realised that the rest of Perth was hit worse...it was so surreal. Pictures of dented cars and shattered windows popped up everywhere on facebook and the news. There were damages to trees and powerpoles everywhere, as well as mass flooding. It was even declared a "natural disaster" and Perth ended up on world news haha, we're so famous. But yeah, my little storm adventure was not exciting at all compared to everyone else's, I watched it all from the comfort of my own house with everything safe and sound...except for my internet which disappeared for a week =( But other than that I can say that "I survived the great storm of Perth" =P
Wednesday night the gang organised karaoke at none other than Utopia! The room we got was super small, but I guess it was pretty cosy hehe. Everyone but us had their dose of singing heeeheee and also bbt of course. Was a fun and random night =D
On the night of the 26th, my parents flew off on their one way holiday to Sydney to visit my brother. I got quite sad at the thought of being home alone, waking up alone and going to sleep alone and almost cried when they left...but I'm over that now haha...it's been really peaceful and cooking what I want to eat is awesome. Oh well...looking forward to their return...I don't want to clean up after my brother anymore =(
The next night was the annual lion dance dinner for the troupe members. This time we went to Japanese restaurant in the city...I forgot the name. The food was already ordered for us all and we got to sample their sushi, sashimi, miso soup, tempura, teriyaki chicken, beef (which was really good) and red bean icecream? Yop! The food wasn't too bad and the best part was that it was free! Thanks Chung wah haha! After dinner we went to the Chung wah hall for their presentations, speeches and initiation for new members....entertaining as always, especially the huge stacks-on! By the time that all finished it was already past midnight so we missed out on karaoke with the gang, sorry!!
On Sunday the next day was Eva's experiment at Murdoch uni. It was quite a long and agonising process where we had to recognise words and non-words after hearing a descriptive sentence of the word (i never want to hear "this is a neutral sentence" ever again!). There were 8 sets of I don't know how many sentences, but it got really draining after a while and I was so glad to get my freddo frog after it all. Haha, but hope we helped you out Eva! We got really hungry after the experiment so JAVE and me went to Myaree area for lunch...it was so packed everywhere except for spice express? It was horrible there haha and they ran out of food and gave us super sweet mee siam...yuck! Make me feel sick after that but the lousey lunch didn't stop me from getting excited for our next FRU event...bowling! Rach, gerri and Tim met up with us there and we formed our 2 teams...JATE against GREV. It was such a close game in the second round and I was so proud of my last minute come back...a spare followed by a strike wahoo! It was funfunfun for all I'm sure, whoop another success =D Oh! we also had bbt after the game, everyone seemed drained haha...can't wait for the next FRU day!
Haha, so that was the month of March, and here comes April (the events so far anyway...)
April fools day was marked by the arrival of the Lady GaGa concert at Burswood Dome! I was really hyped up for this one, I don't know why...maybe it was the thought of how bizarre I was expecting the show and the people there to be? When we got to the Dome, we were already met with weirdo costumes, a girl went with "caution" tape all over her body, super goth people, guys dressed as girls, coke cans in the hair and hair-made bows in the hair as well as plenty of sparkle and glitter...candy to my eyes hehe! Anyway, this time round we got seats in the grandstand so we were facing the stage =D The seats were awesome (thanks bebe) but really scary to get to, everything seemed so high and narrow. Once we were seated it was all good...the show was amazing! Gaga had so much energy and really got everyone jumping and the lighting effects were cool too =D Her costumes were really random and funny at times, i think you just had to be there to understand how amazing it was =P Yay for Gaga!
After Gaga it was Good Friday. The long Easter weekend had arrived and dorky finally got some rest from work (except saturday). I found that this Easter was alot more about chocolate and bunnies more than anything else, which got me thinking about the actual meaning of this event. Practising forgiveness, having hope and giving thanks for life. I understand that not everyone has this belief, but the good I see from Easter is that just like Christmas, people, friends and families share happiness together =)
And on Saturday night, thanks to ama, we had an Easter bbq gathering at her house. It was full of cheese fishball/sausages, frankfurt sausages, fishballs, chicken wings, juicy corn and battered seafood! We all ate quite a lot, but I guess not enough because there was still so much food! After supper we had an easter egg hunt lol. We found them all pretty fast haha...I'm pretty sure some of us cheated!! It was the Friends game again next...we played both the normal and 18+ games...both were good and for once there were more guys than girls...dorky must've been happy =P
On Easter Sunday, dorky and me headed to the city for a korean lunch! We tried a udon stew, which was sooooo yummy that I'm craving it now =D Afterlunch we went to Harbour town...dorky struggled all the way because of his sore sore leg, poor boy =( But we did buy a few things...winter is coming as well as scarves, jumpers, jackets, leggings =D comfy clothes are the best hehe.
On Easter Monday, dorky and me had lunch at HJ's lol...been craving fast food lately, which isn't good at all, but I can't help cravings! Then we went to Dome for a drink where I tried my new favourite tea...chamomile! It's supposed to make you feel more relaxed and calm, which it did and the taste wasn't strong either..not a bad tea to drink on a cold winter's night =P I shall have to stock up. After dome we watched clash of the titans in 3d! Reviews said it wasn't the best of films, but we still enjoyed it...i think i still like percy jackson better though hehe. Long weekend is now over, so I hope that everyone had a safe and happy Easter!
Yes, so that's it i think...up to date with events =D
I wanted to upload some pictures too, but I can't drag the photos to where I want them to be so I will have to make a photo entry one of these days...pictures are probably better than writing novel-long entries anyway!
Okaaaays until next time...take care everybody!!
