I'm finding that this year is flying by so fast that I've hardly had the time to reminisce on much at all. This year just keeps running away that I'm afraid that I will suddenly fall into the year 2009 with quite a shock and without any mental preparation for the year ahead. Ah, it's scary....can't wait for Christmas though!
Anyway, let me backtrack a little into the week that has just been...
I started the week with work at the percolator and after half a year of not being there, I've found that it hasn't changed much at all. The same faces are still there, along with a few new faces. I find that everyone is super nice to me and let me get away with everything....still! Everyone is still bitching to me, asking if I want food or drinks every other minute and it is still always me who gets sent on important mini jobs like banking....it's a little crazy...why is this, is it because I am likable? hua hua hua, if I am I wonder why I don't work more often...hmmm I guess laziness always overrides my decision to do that...sigh...if only they knew how I really am. On the plus side, I've been getting extra cash...happy happy shopping shopping! Also, my workmate, Mel invited me to her engagement party. Her bf had proposed to her whilst holidaying in Bali...so sweet! Anyway, she asked for my input on decorations for the party...woohoo, I'm so excited for her...hopefully I'll make the wedding, which is still at least 2 years away!
On Thursday morning I attended the Target sale, expecting it be filled with bargain hungry shoppers and found that it was just me that was hungry. I bought a number of skin products and then headed to work...nothing super exciting happened, just that time laboured on, felt like there was no end. After work I came home and scrubbed the essence of work from my skin and I waited for bf to finish his work. We shopped for a few essentials at Riverton Forum, dropped off some library books and we made it to his house, where I chatted to his parents and brother for a while and scored lollies from his mum. His brother kept bullying me, but I soldiered on and survived the taunts and in the end I was given a free headset, like the ones pilots use! Hehehe, he likes me afterall =P After that episode, bf had to drop off his radiator to a friend because his car emitted scary smoke from the engine a few days ago, while I was still in the car..so inevitably, the car had to be fixed...bf was a bit depressed for those few days..poor bebe..it'll be healthy again in no time. Afterwards, we headed out to Northbridge and had dinner at A Fishy Affair, which was omg so yum! Bf ordered a yabbie crock pot, which was a broth type dish and I had spaghetti marinara with a side of steamed veges...it was tantalisingly good. We then stopped by Utopia and ordered bbt for ourselves and Jas and her brothers. Bf drove to Jas's house and we had funfunfun drinking and chatting. I gave her some albums, movies and also Jay Chou's new album =D=D in exchange for Heroes! This was our first random visit to chicken...hehe we should do it more often, me thinks =)
On Friday, I had work again! The new girl working with us is a little weird...kind of really lazy too. Mel and me suspected her of taking cans of drinks without asking anyone...all because our boss wasn't in today....so sneaky. She also sat down for half an hour because she had bumped her head on the coffee machine?! I gave her ice and panadol and she sat as all our customers watched her while they ate. She also kept watching Mel's every move and tried to talk to her every chance she got and I could see by Mel's face that this new girl was getting on her nerves...it was interesting to say the least...well there wasn't much else to do but to watch her anyway. After work, I came home and showered...work literally stinks! Bf picked me up for we were heading out to Curtin's Pasar Malam! Weeeeeee, one of our awaited events of the year. The first food item that we bought was the heavenly Ramly burger from Malaysia...it had the Ramly burger wrapping too, but inside the wrapper was one of the most yummiest food I have ever eaten...ehehehe, tasted even better because we were hungry. Bf also bought chicken curry rice, explaining that he had to have some sort of rice dish in his diet. We scoffed that down and then found curry fishballs, fishcake, squid tentacles and prawns on sticks and gobbled those down too with such glee on our faces. I saw Jenny there with her brother and we caught up a little bit...then saw the people from my church selling food..hehe. Ama, Jas and Wei2 arrived and we continued our food expedition, where we found all sorts of delights. Saw SF, working at a satay stall hehehe...her satays weren't too bad either. We also had $1 teh terik and I had a fruit kebab. Saw heaps of people there, especially bf, who stopped at every corner to speak to someone...no way are you more popular than I am! We enjoyed some music entertainment too to cap off a great night. We had heeeeeeaps of fun! So happy that we went =)
Now it's Saturday. I woke up at 10am and found my parents grooming Coco. She had poop stuck to her rear for a few days and was really grumpy and sensitive about people approaching her, but I guess my parents cornered her good! She's cleaner now and a lot happier I guess, well at least she's doing her spastic zigzag run! Anyway, I'd better devise a lesson for my student now...so I'll update laters =)
