I'm so bad at this blogging thing, I can't keep up with the things that I've done and been through...maybe I should really shorten all my entries!! anyway, I'll be brief...I mean it this time!!
Today, my parents are going away to Mandurah for a church camp for the weekend. My mum has been busy cooking and packing, she has cooked so much to take away that I think there's no food left at home for me. The last time my parents went away was during my year 11 exams and they went to china and said I couldn't go...they bribed me and brought me back a sony discman haha as well as a whole lot of other souvenirs...oh well, at least this time I can stay out late and not be questioned in the morning. Hope you guys have fun, I know I will!
The dorkster and I went and watched Wall-E on tuesday night, I loveloveloved it! It was so cute, the storyline was ace and so very true, makes me want to become a greenie. Bf kept calling me Eeeve, after the movie though just because I called him Despereaux (tiny mouse with gigantic floppy ears...soon to be released movie!)...sigh such a dork, was that was the best you could come up with? hehe
Oh! went to the Perth Royal Show on Saturday..yay! When I told my mum I was going, she specifically asked me not to bring back any big toys..pffft...she even reminded me again before I left the house =( Didn't think too much of that...The show is always good, this time round, bf and I weren't so much interested in the showbags..more of the great food! Mmmm ribs! a bit dry but still yumyum for my tumtum. We also ate corn on a cob, puppydogs, sausages, curly fries, lamb rolls and lamb curry =D=D=D I get so excited about food, luckily, so does he...do you see us fatter and rounder in the future? I do. We took time to look through all the pavilions, even looked at the cows, which were actually quite pretty. Saw a goat/sheep escape, a woman herding fluffly chickens using a broom, lots and lots of pandas (we tried 6 times to win big ones, but only managed to get baby ones...my mum jinxed us I know it!), we also saw a jazz band play while we were eating our lamb dinner that was nice and of course saw the fireworks! Can't wait for next year!
On Friday night, went to the Queens for a few drinks with the uni girls to celebrate the end of uni! Had lots of giggles after a glass of wine and took photos for memory keeping. It was so good to see everyone...argh at least I didn't cry! Bf and I had to leave early to go meet the Lee's and co. for dindin at teacafe. Ah charm flew in to Perth as a surprise for our dear Ama, how sweet. Too bad we missed her reaction =( I hope there was lots of ahhhh-ing ehehe. After that we walked to the ASIA cocktail at metros or methoes as everyone seems to be calling it now, aren't people clever? It was really really cold outside so we were glad to get in! We were turned away at the cloak room because the line was too long and when we came back it was even longer...what a loser security guy. We all danced away, saw someone puke all over the dancefloor and moved away from it and had fun watching unsuspecting victims walk through it ahahaa. We were pushed and shoved all over the place, which I guess is pretty normal, but bf got a bit sick of it though so we went exploring. We found a nice spot upstairs and had fun watching the poledancers and skimming the crowd below. Left the cocktail at around 2:30-3 and had supper...mmm 3 egg congee!
I also officially finished uni on the 23rd had my last ever exam! Four years have just flown by, but I'm happy...bit scared. I spent the last semester with Jess, both of us are known as the slack ones in our little group, but since the others girls chose to do interships and projects, we were left to tackle uni alone. We did pretty well though, we motivated each other and I managed to get 4 HD's and a D! i purposefully left my assignment on the table for my mum to see hehehe.
Oh! I also went down to Kondinin with the uni girls to celebrate Sara's 22nd birthday. Jess and me left for the bush straight after uni and had a very scenic drive there. I didn't realised how many paddocks there were and it was just so...pretty. It only took 2 minutes to actually tour the whole town and while we were there, we went to the community bluelight disco ahaha, had fun doing the hokeypokey, macarena, chicken dance! reminds me of primary school discos...i miss them. Helped Sara's school a bit and found that her principal is really cool! We also went to the local pub on Sara's birthday and omgosh, the steaks were massive, bigger than my head. I managed to eat it all though, it was very filling. Had lots of champagne and played singstar, cranium and scattergories at night. The thing that was sad was that Jess and me had to study for exams =(=( we had study breaks where we played scrabble though and ate heaps! Kondinin was really nice had a lot of bugs, but the best part I loved about it was the stars at night..so amazing, if Kalgoorlie has stars like that, I don't think I would mind going =)
