Arrrgh! Someone help me! I'm in so much pain right now...my whole body is stinging...boohooooo
I got badly sunburnt for the 1st time today. I'm so stupid, why didn't I put on sunscreen!!!! Such an idiot....now I'm going to have really bad tanlines for the rest of summer =( Please don't laugh at this overcooked lobster! Sigh...anyway...today my boss organised for everyone at work to meet at Woodman's Point for a BBQ/picnic. I hadn't been there in such a long time, not since primary school? I guess not much has changed...just that the sun is evil there!! Almost everyone from work was there with sausages, steaks and my mum's indian mee goreng yom! We didn't do much a part from eating, despite my bosses great effort to get everyone to play catch with a tennisball...we literally sat in the sun for almost 3 hours...just chatting. Well my friends at work did most of the chatting, I sat and kept bf...who was almost the only guy there, company. Haha sorry bebe, hope you didn't feel awkward..don't say that I didn't warn you though! All in all, besides getting baked...I had a really relaxed time there watching people fly kites and play sports..I felt so into and a part of the great outdoors! After that, bf and me stopped at FJ's because I craved an icey pole! So I got a cyclone =D We also went and bought some Aloe gel for my burns, which is sooooooooo good! I love it...it's so soothing =D Banana Boat Aloe Gel....go buy it everyone!! Afterwards we went back to my place, where I got changed and alsoo grabbed a DVD. Then we went back to bf's house to watch it...that's where we noticed how bad my sunburn was and also discovered bf's burnt nose, extra tanned forehead and sunglasses tan...hahaha...we suck.
OK, backtracking time! On Thursday I had work, thankfully it was not as busy as last week. Because of that...nothing interesting really happened just Mel's funny comments as usual. At night...bf picked me up and we went to his house. Nothing was really planned because bf was waiting on someone to finish work to buy his car. We ended up just waiting...can't say that it was the most fun of nights, but oh well...got over it. After a long wait, the buyer finally came over and bought the car off bf and paid in cash! I don't think I've seen so much cash before...I helped to count it though. I felt a distinct sense of sadness when his car left the driveway without bf...kind of like the feeling of saying goodbye to an old friend. My 1st memory of the car also rolled in my head...it was the first time bf, but not bf at the time, picked me up to go fishing...I told him the car whistled...ah...good times.
On Friday, work again! For the first hour, I had trouble finding things to do, so I just went and talked to Mary at the take away section...she's going to China, Sg and Malaysia...what a luckyduck! I like talking to the aunties at work, they're all so friendly! Slowly work got busier and I think my boss had to message an extra person to come work so we were really overstaffed! It was nice having help though, for once. After work, I talked to bf online, the night before I think I got a bit emo at him...so we sorted things out I guess. He picked up his new car...even though we had just patched things up, I knew inside he was bursting with excitement...he said he wanted me to be the first to ride int he car...how nice aahaha. The noise that the car made was slightly different...instead of the hovering sound of his old car (kind if like the Jetson's hovering ship), this one sounded like a helicopter! It looked more norti and meaner and the seats were so low...it felt like I was sitting in a deck chair and nopes...I definitely could not see over the dashboard...so sad...I completely disappear from view haha. The best thing about the car though...it was much cleaner than the other one...I likey =) Anyway...we had planned to eat dinner out, I think we decided on Kanta, but just as we got into the car, I got a phonecall from chicken asking us if we wanted to eat at Ipoh gardens...haha change of plans and good timing! At Ipoh Christina and her bf joined us. It was the first time in ages that we had all caught up....her bf was not what I had expected at all! He seemed very social and open, like Christina ahah they were hilarious =) I tried the famous Ipoh hor fun soup...it was good! After dinner, I shooed bf away home and started karaoke with the gang, that Yuki aka Yuli aka BJ organised...hahaha. Karaoke was interesting...different form other karaoke session that I have ever been to. I have never been to kok with Christina before...it was so entertaining and unexpected! To put it simply, she doesn't hold back, which is awesome! I should learn from her...sometimes =P Yuki's friends...hahaha also quite entertaining...they were odd, loud and just something else...we had a lot of fun just making fun of....them =P At the end of the night, it didn't seem like any of us had bbt...so sad! But oh well...Ama and me went home early and I zzzzzz.
Saturday afternoon, I was picked up by bf, who took us to eat at Bullcreek Hawkers. We ate chicken rice and nasi lemak! The nasi lemak was OK, I still prefer my mum's though. Afterwards, he drove us to Chicken's house...that bf of mine organised for me to be babysitted at Jas's house while he went and watch a soccer game...and he told me about it afterwards...cheh! He enevr asked me to the game...only after I asked why I wasn't invited...he got into trouble that one! But being babysitted seemed much more fun anyway. Bf was nice enough to drop me off at chicken's house, but scratched the front bumper on her driveway...twice! Argh, I sure felt the car's pain aahah. Oh well. The pain soon turned into pleasure and fun when we both started playing ROCKBAND! So funnnnn!! I suck at the drums though...Later, Ama arrived and we played some more until 7:30 when we drove down to the shops and bought some groceries! Then...we started cooking a feast! Pasta, omelette, salad, garlic bread and wafer sticks =D We worked well as a team to produce a great dinner (sauce was too peppery ahaha sorry!)...go us! It took a while to cook though, but it was worth it...we fed other people too! Doing all that made me get that feeling of being together, like in Singapore! hehehe...yay! I can feel it coming back. Yups...we also mentioned a certain someone during our chat session, as we always do, except this time it was a bit different...as well as saying all the bad things shes done, we were actually wanting to understand the reasons behind why she did the things she did..I guess it really got me thinking about it...we only gossip like we do to...understand situations better =)
anyway, afterwards bf came back and bought us bbt and we continued playing rockband! He's a bit unco on the drums too! teehee. It was getting late...so Ama left, then soon after bf and me left too. We didn't really get to help Jas with her interview preparations...we got too carried away! But goodluck to you, Jas! You can do iiiiiiiit! Thanx for babysitting me too hehe =)
Think that is it for now...I'm so sad I got burnt =(

I'm sick!!! coughcoughcoughcoughcough!!! My throat has been hurting..in need of some medicine soon me thinks =)
I haven't blogged for a week..I think I'm getting slack again. Meh! (this word will be a part of the oxford dictionary very soon, meaning something like...I don't care! mehmehmehmeh).
I know that I had a fairly eventful week. Well, on Tuesday or Wednesday night...I accompanied the notti chicken to Murdoch library because she needed to do some study for exams. Yey! Our mini date ahaha. When we got there, there were already heaps of people so we had to find a very secluded and quiet spot. I drew some pictures for lessons and chicken studied away so well. After 10, we moved outside, where there was a lot of lightning...it was pretty cool and scary to see. Then after while we went to the back/underground of the library for more study. We found a little closed off room too where we could make noise. And make noise we did. I played DS while Jas tried to study, but ahaha notti chicken wanted to with my DS too...tsktsk. I got home at around 1am...I had fun playing my DS in a new setting but I've decided that Murdoch Libary is scary. yops.
Thursday I had work...it was soooooo busy! We were short 2 staff and had customers pack out the dine-in area for 3 hours straight...argh! I was so tired by the end of the shift and I didn't even take any food home. To make things worse, I couldn't call home for someone to pick me up because my phone had been barred! I didn't know it, but my phone bill hadn't been paid for 2 months? I thought that the people at Soul would just auto-debit?...but no, you have to re-apply for that. So in the end I just went bugger it and walked home from work. Lucky the sun didn't burn me too much. Late in the afternoon, bf picked me up for dinner at happy star in Myaree. I ordered a salted fish fried rice with sweet corn and chicken soup. The soup on top of the rice is very yummy =) Bf had, curry laksa...surprise, surprise. Then we headed to Garbos for some window shopping! Nothing very interesting at Garbos...still the same. Afterwards, we went back to Myaree for bbt. Charm was in Perth for a couple of days, so Ama organised for us to meet up. Charm got us Krispy Kremes!! Yey! Thankyou! Quite a few of us were there and we took up a lot of space too. For some reason, probably end of year exams, there were heaps and heaps of people wanting bbt! They kept eyeing our table. We had a good chat and played with DS again...crosswords are the best! We left once Weiwei arrived ahaha...but aiyo, we were so tired and went home. I had fun though!
Saturday was bf's RDO, so we took his parents out for lunch as...Dumpling King! haha yey! We ordered quite a lot of food and everyone seemed to love the sweet and sour pork the best, followed by the Malaysian chicken curry. It was a nice lunch...next tis to bring my parents there. We dropped off bf's parent back home and found out that there was no tutoring again! Free afternoon! So we went to Carousel. We bought Rachael a birthday present and a few things for ourselves too =)
On Sunday...happy birthday Rachy & Happy 19 months to us =) Bf and me celebrated by going to Freo for the day. It was so nice when we got there and there was a lot of people walking around. It really felt like everyone was already in holiday mode. We walked down to the esplanade and stopped at Kalis for lunch. We had a large plate of prawns, fish and chips and also some seafood chowder...omg best combination ever..really hit the hunger and satisfaction spot! We then, walked to the markets..tightly squeezing past everyone. There is alctually some pretty interesting food stalls inside that we need to try one day...like the crepe stand! After that we walked around the freo mall part (not really much of a mall actually) and then ended up at a tunnel that led to the beach! The tunnel was very historic, reminded me of the time the we all went on the Freo prison tour haha. We also looked at the tiny beach for a bit and was going to climb up to the roundhouse, but it started raining and we got lazy once we saw the stairs leading up there. We left Freo and stopped for bbt at Myaree before heading to FJ's! I bought some honey and a couple of expensive lemons to make a drink, but wasn't satisfied with the lemons at all. We decided to drive around looking for lemons near my house. We searched high and low and only found a few. Most of the tress we found only had very small lemons that weren't quite ripe yet. In the end we found a house with an exposed wall with lemons hanging down it and as quick as a flash, bf jumped out of the car and took them! Such a naughty boy...he claims to have done it before and he calls it a lemon run. But yey! more lemons! Muahs and thankyou to my bebe for such a wonderful day =)
On Monday, I woke up really early because I was coughing so badly. I went online and as expected, found no one on...so alone and so bored. I think I just cleaned my room before getting a lift from Ama and Wei to Rach's Bbq lunch (thankyou guys =)). We arrived at a carpark, just opposite the park we were supposed to meet at, for Wei2 to write in the card...man he takes ages! ahaha. It was OK though, we ended up gossiping about about our favourite people. After Wei finally finished his message...we walked down to the park to see who had arrived...not many! So we killed time by playing in the cool playground...swings, tunnels, steps, monkeybars, balancing logs, slides...oh so fun! Wei fell asleep in a tunnel though ahaah. Soon, Jas, Serene, Tiff and Tammy arrived and we all munched on meat, pasta, fishballs and cute cupcakes made by Tiffany =D After eating and mingling, we went back to Rach's house and played a bit of guitar hero...I so suck at it! Need practise! At night, I went over to bf's house and watched TV! and played DS ahah. While we were watching Tv, we saw an ad for Maccas =( The craves set in and then we were off to Maccas. The main thing I wanted to eat were fries dipped in soft serve icecream...it is so good!! While we were there, we also ordered some mcnuggets...such pigs. Then I went home and slept =).
I guess that was what happened during the week....the next few weekends will be pretty eventful, so stay tuned!

I think I'm getting sick...woke up a few days ago and blew my nose and what came out was green and dark yellow snot. I'm developing a cough as well..something that hasn't happened for over a year. At least I haven't been sneezing like crazy, actually I've hardly gotten hayfever this spring... I find this rather exciting!
On Sunday, bf and me decided to hit Harbour Town for a bit of window shopping because lately, HT has been such a failure that we have learnt not to get our hopes up. For once we started on the bottom floor for lunch. I tried a chicken salad which was really good, but only semi-filling...guess I was trying the healthy option, which did not satisfy at all. After lunch, bf went a bit crazy with the shopping and bought a soccer shirt, gym clothes and shirts. For once he bought more than I did. Crazy.I mananged to buy shoes though...happy!! After shopping we went back to his place to hang out and we got onto the topic of hunger, crab and lobster...hmm, next thing you know we're driving back into the city to Uncle Billy's with hungry bellies. We ordered a snow crab, a beef and also a vege dish. It was a pretty expensive random dinner for us...but I guess it was worth it...we topped things off with a taro milk tea from easyway! Yum!
I declined my offer early Monday and was really dreading hearing the voice of nice John, but to my surprise, someone else answered the phone. I guess it made saying things much easier for me to this unknown. This guy tried to convince me to go, just by saying that Kalgoorlie was a nice place..I didn't seem to believe him at all...I don't think the desert seems very nice. The next step for me to do was to email the department to confirm my response...it took me ages to write, or rather ages to click the send button. Once I did...I felt that unknown feeling in my gut...back to not knowing what the future holds...but I move on...

Oh gosh, OK big news! While I was at work on Friday I received a phonecall from a number that I didn't recognise and I had a slight suspicion that it was about my teaching offer for next year...but didn't think too much about it until my mum picked me up...she said someone from the department had called me and that it was an emergency for me to call back...that freaked me out so bad! It was like...crunch time.
I was so nervous to call and I even locked myself in my room for a while to think about what I would say...but my mum kept pushing me to call, which didn't really calm my nerves at all. I called twice but the phoneline was busy and I gave up for a while..but my mum went ahead and called for me so I was forced to take the call. The person that had rang me was named John and the first thing he said was...Ah, Evelyn...I've got an offer for and it's a really good one too...we are offering you a place at South Kalgoorlie Primary School...he sounded so nice and pleased to hear my voice, which made me feel awful for I knew that I didn't want to take the offer anymore...I managed to stutter a response of whether or not he needed an answer right at that moment. Luckily he said I had until Monday before noon to call back and he gave me details of the school...there are 820 children at the primary school, it is located at the city's central, it has 30 staff at the school and 5 pre-primary classes, which is a lot! It may sound daunting, but to me, it sounded like South Kalgoorlie was a really good school to be at because I knew that I would definitely be given a great amount of support as a starting teacher..But I knew I couldn't just pass the offer right there and then. But you know, when I asked if I could delay my answer, I really felt that John seemed to already know what my choice would be...but he was nice enough to give me the number of the school, it's principal and housing arrangements...just in case.
I only hoped that I would be offered a remote school, so that I could decline the offer without much hesitation...Why did it have to be such a good school! At that point I was pretty much back at square 1, but with a lot less time to decide if I would go or not. In the back of my mind...I knew that this would such a great opportunity, but I also knew that this isn't the only opportunity for me...
After the phonecall...I got into an argument with my mum. She always pushes me to go work as soon as I can and she didn't seem to have listened to me when I said that I didn't feel that going to Kal was what I wanted at this time. She accepted it before...but after the call, she just changed her mind in a flash. Sigh...so many thoughts and stress running through my head...I don't think anyone really understands the amount of pressure I have stored up inside of me....day by day it builds. So much that I can stare into nothingness and just burst our crying for no reason...it's painful. Yeah anyway, we argued and somehow I got my point across to my mum, but I also yelled some disrespectful things like calling my mum stubborn, pushy, unfair and always pressuring me to do things...I knew I crossed the line though...I think I just lost it. One thing that I must learn is not to raise my voice at my mum, because she is the queen of being stubborn and there is no way in hell you can win against her. So I had back down and explain things calmly, multiple times before she even tried to accept my choice...but she was still furious at me for challenging her...there was one thing that she said to me during that heated conversation that got to me...she said that I had been keeping her and everyone else in my family out in the cold and that I just haven't been communicating with them...and that they had no idea what was running through my head. I don't know why I don't talk to them about things in depth..I guess I'm scared of being pushed to do something that I don't want to do because really..they have such a great influence over me..I was wrong to have neglected them though...family comes first so I had to apologise, which I found hard to do...I don't know why, but I did and I guess my mum sensed that my apology was sincere and we sorted things out from there...I really have to control myself and be a better daughter...but I guess would also like space to think for myself.
Anyway I digress...at this moment...everyone in my family knows that I am going to decline the offer and I'm grateful that they haven't been pushing me any further about going to Kal and have actually been really supportive of me and have suggested other things that I could do next year. I guess in the end...they are really just worried and want to help because they are the ones that know me best. So right now I can say that I'm happy about my choice and thank-you everyone for being there for me!!
So yes...Monday it will be official =)

First of all, let me just say....Chris Brown and Rihanna were so awesome =D=D!!!
OK, so....I was picked up by bf after he finished work and quickly, we decided to eat at Chin's for dinner. I ordered a kway teow soup, which was bloody hard to eat...and I think I only ate 6 mouthfuls before handing it over to bf to finish...Boo! I'm not skilled with chopsticks =( While we were there, who should walk in to have dinner too? Why Charles and Chenelle the powerfully tall couple (they will seriously have tall kids). We made some small chit chat with the giants and headed off to bf's house so that he could shower and get changed from his smelly clothes. Next we were on our glorious way to Burswood Dome! We drove around and around looking for parking and saw bf's friend who worked at Burswood and he let us through a road that was blocked...too bad it lead to no parking! But I guess it helped because there was a bank up of cars where we were, so we got out to the main road faster. When we found parking...we were already a bit late and it was so slow getting inside the Dome.
When we finally got inside...omg...so many girly teeny boppers. We quickly made it to our seats, which was really high up...I saw bf get a bit nervous up there =P We were told outside that CB would be on in 5 minutes...they lied...he wasn't even on stage yet! So we sat at watched all the people below us...such an array of different kinds of people, which was really entertaining! Gives you such an insight of what the girls in Perth are like...Then, then, then....CB came on!! The atmosphere was so overwhelming with so many people and everyone with their flashing cameras, which seemed at the time to flash in sync with the music...it was just really pretty. He sang all of his hits and also performed some of Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 songs, which was so awesome. The best was when he sang Thriller...he's just like...wow when it comes to dancing. Other highlights of CB were his songs Forever and With You...ah brought back memories of my 21st hehe. CB's show had alot of special effects and so many explosions, which scared me everytime, without fail =( But I still loved it...Love CB!
Next! After a pretty long intermission...Rihanna came on!! Gosh, in plain words, she's just...hot! and yes, that's the only word that I can describe her as being! Rihanna's stage was really cool...the background was awesome, along with her flashing stairs in the middle of the stage. Her entrance was quite cool too...there was a black curtain covering the whole stage and when it was pulled down, Rihanna was standing on the top of a really tall pole, which descended, slowly as she started singing Disturbia. Her show had a lot of lighting effects and lasers, especially in the song, Don't turn off the music. The songs Good Girl Gone Bad, Shutup and Drive and Unfaithful were the nicest =)! The best song of the entire night though was during the encore when CB came and sang Umbrella with Rihanna...You can be my Cinderella-ella-ella! heheh Those 2 are so cute together!
Yeaps, after that came the difficult task of getting out of the dome. It was so hot and sweaty and when we stepped out...it just felt so good to breathe air from the open again...back to reality. Oh and we also bought programs, which I shall now safely store with my other concert programs =) Best night ever...now can't wait to go to cirque de soleil...that's if we get tickets! Let us know if you want to come with!
xxx!!

dum dee dum dee dum dee dum deeeeeee dummmmm...
I'm in the state of waiting for things...waiting for my potato bake to finish cooking in the oven...for the right time to cook some pasta for dindin...for my mummy to get home....for bf to finish work...for chris brown and rihanna's concert tonight=)...for bf's holidays to be approved of at work...for my snowflake earrings to arrive in my letterbox...for some schools to call me for relief work...for that very overdue letter and for everyone to finish their exams!!! (jiayou jiayou) All of this anticipation is just so arrrgh and...makes me just want to...eat =)
Hmm...what's been going on lately? Wehellll....I should start with the biggest event so far...I got into a heated conversation about what would happen next year with bf and after a lot of thought...I've decided not to go to Kalgoorlie! So kids...I guess it means that I'll be sticking around next year, but who knows what the future will bring right? There are plenty of opportunities to get where I want to be, that's how I see it. But mainly, I just thought that I wasn't really ready to move out yet, even though the thought of living independently was cool, but I guess not if it means I move out into the middle of the Australian desert...like omg I would turn into a piece of burnt toast. I will still need to wait for a letter or phonecall from the department to make this decision official, but for the time being...I stand by this choice! hmmph!
Next, due to this life altering decision...bf and me have decided that a holiday is now very possible...kind of left it a bit late though didn't we? We're hoping to go to Singapore/KL ahaha, yeah I know I always end up there, but I think it'll be a lot different if bf is with me...afterall he hasn't been for like 10 years? So I shall have a very excited little boy with me, which should be entertaining to say the least =) For the time being we're just waiting for approval of time off and searching for accommodation and if all goes well, we should be away during January! Not December anymore...the initial plan was to go away during dorky's birthday, christmas and new years...but since we left it late, everything is booked up and prices for plane tickets are really stupid. Yeeeeeey holidaaaaaaaaaay! But I shouldn't get too excited just yet =)
Oh! On Saturday, because bf is trying to sell his car...he decided to give his car a wash so that it would look nice in pictures..well anyway, we went to the car wash place and omg...that place has got great potential for some awesome fun. As bf washed his car using equipment...I just stared in awe...hehehehehe, I wish I'd worn some sort of waterproof clothing so I could wash too. My favourite part of the process was when bf used the foaming brush!!!! Neverending pink, strawberry smelling foam...that is too irresistible to not touch and play with, which is what I did of course. foam foam foam foam foammmmmmmy foam!
I'm really excited right now...CHRIS BROWN AND RIHANNA tonighhhhht =) OK, time to calm down...I'll update about the concert later!!
Take care =)

Unexpectedly, the last 3 days have been rather active...all thanks to bf. You see, my poor darling had and probably is still sick and was awarded 3 days sick leave...I was both happy and sad about this. Sad because my dorky has a lung infection! Hope that it goes away quick smart! And happy because we got so much done and had some simple fun =)
On Tuesday...Melbourne Cup Day...we didn't do anything in particular in relation to it...just wanted to mention it for no reason ehehe but what we did decide to do was take bf's dad out for lunch at Dumpling King but...when we got there, our beloved eatery was CLOSED! Such disappointment..I really wanted my fish head noodle soup again. So we decided to go to Karawara for some Indian/Malaysian food at Sahara. The place was empty as usual and didn't have that offensive Indian smell that a lot of places have ahaha. We ordered our usual teh terik in a boot glass...so cute and yummy. And food? well I ordered an egg, cheese, onion and mushroom prata and also there was a bowl of the nicest mutton soup that I have ever tasted! I know I keep blogging about food, but I really can't help it...food is too delicious to not share about with others =) I ate up my prata and soup with great satisfaction...oh yes I did..ahaha. The rest of the day...I don't think we did anything else, just relaxed and drowned myself in some DS goodness =)
On Wednesday...we went to Garbos for a bit of window shopping. But before that happened, we went out for lunch again...yes we eat a lot...no wonder I'm feeling the flab grow...argh thinking about flab makes me depressed..I must join a gym of some sort...feeling sluggish. Anyway we tried the restaurant Ipoh Gardens in Myaree...not a bad place at all...bf ordered Ipoh hor fun noodle soup and I had Indian mee...which tasted ok. We might visit this little place more often I think...or alternate it with Dumpling King =P After lunch we headed to Garbos and I have to say..it was actually quite successful...we didn't window shop..we actually bought things and I managed to find some necklaces that I had been looking for...so yey! Bf even bought some clothes and a necklace. After that...I can't remember what we did ahaha...oh well!
On Thursday guess what we did? Yes that's right, we went out for lunch AGAIN! This time we went to Bullcreek Hawkers =P But before that I finally did what I was supposed to do a month ago and I can proudly say that I handed out my resumes to the schools near my house for relief teaching =) So fingers crossed that I get called sometime...but not too much ehehe. Yes anyway...back to lunch, I ordered a fish fillet mai fun soup...so yummers and bf got laksa! loserface...afterwards, we headed back to bf's house to pick up his daddy and we went and browsed cars...reason? well bf wants a new car and I think he already has his heart set on a particular type of car already...it's just like his current car, but purple and faster...he's just really excited about it..it's scary! But really cute...he's such a little kid =P We looked at a lot of car dealing places...man it was so tiring and really windy...I don't know how, but that wind just blew the energy out of me. I ended up napping in front of the TV afterwards and felt horrible when I woke up...not refreshed. I went home afterwards and enjoyed Evy time ahaha....had enough of someone in particular =P
Today is now Friday...I had work. Hayley was at work today so yey! I had an extra person to chat with...she's just awesome. Work was pretty annoying because there were a lot more complaints from customers than usual...one of them complained that the food didn't taste nice and they demanded something else as a replacement and when they were asked to pay again for the new dish...they complained again. What stupid customers...there was nothing wrong with the food either..just that it didn't match up to their taste. So fussy! Argh...anyway, work went fast and for the rest of the day I just relaxed at home...no dorky today =)
Now for some other unrelated but important thoughts...I've been thinking alot about whether or not this whole Kalgoorlie thing will work out. I still haven't heard from the people from the department about which school they want me at, which is so frustrating and it's making me impatient, so the stress is building up big time. I just want to know because there are a lot of other plans that are being put on hold. It's very much like I'm standing on the edge of a cliff wanting to reach the bottom...so do I just step off that edge to get there? It's a big risk but I am sure to get where I want fast... Or do I turn and step back from the edge and try and find a slower path down by foot and risk going the wrong way...I am prone to getting lost afterall. Arggghh! Help me to decide...I can't make big decisions...I hate being so indecisive sometimes. Well I'm giving myself a deadline...by the end of this month...I will have an answer! But so far...bf and me have come up with this...
Pros for going to Kalgoorlie:
- Great experience
- Permanency after 2 years, making it easier for me to get a permanent position in the metro area.
- Opportunity for us to be more independent
- Meeting new people
- Secure income = money saved for the future
The cons:
- Being so far away from everyone!!
- The weather
- Lack of support
- Getting a very difficult class
- Mental breakdown
- Not knowing anyone
- Bf not being able to find a steady job
- Lack of good places to eat!
Pros for staying:
- Not leaving family and friends
- Other job opportunities - there is always relief teaching paired up with another casual job
- Could be offered a placement in the metro area, if I'm lucky - I did apply afterall
- Can carry out other plans - holiday, purchases, getting my license haha
- Comforts - including food =)
- No hassle about moving away - packing, furniture etc...
- Opportunity to move out into the country in later years.
The cons:
- Not being able to find a career-related job
- May take a much longer time to gain permanency
- Moving to the country to teach could be a permanent thing as to being just contracted
- Stress from parents
- Money saving could prove to be difficult
Yes...so.....HELP and ARGGGHHHHH!! That's it ehehe...

I just woke up and it's cold and gloomy looking outside. Glad that I'm indoors today, but for all of you people that are outdoors...keep warm, especially my dorky who is prone to getting sick very easily xxx.
Ok well anyway, this week has passed by quite nicely, without any huge dramas, which is good and mostly good things have happened so let me share them...the week that has just gone by goes a little bit like this...
On Thursday I decided to walk to work instead of catching the bus for a bit of exercise and when I got there I noticed that the new girl, Penny wasn't working again so I asked about her and according to Mel she had just disappeared. Yay! Drama! My boss had been trying to contact her to work but she hadn't been replying so...I guess that was her way of saying, "I quit!". Nice. I suppose doing dishes for the entire shift and cleaning up after people isn't anyone's cup of tea but you need to start someplace right? But there goes my entertainment at work! After that the rest of the day was pretty average. At night, bf and me had planned to watch a Jay Chou concert on DVD but we ended up going to Garbos first to shop around. Late night shopping on a Thursday is becoming a ritual for us and I always look forward to it, even if I don't buy anything. But I did buy 3 bras from Cotton On body hehe! Other than that...I've hardly bought anything in a while...I love shopping =D but something keeps holding me back from spending too much these days...haven't quite figured out what yet. Anyway we got back to bf's house and found that there were stickers for us to do and hmm..bf was not happy at all. We got through it faster than usual though, by the time we finished, no Jay for us =(
On Friday (Happy Halloweeeeen!), I had work again and it was so busy from the moment I got there. It was only a 3 and a half hour shift, but I was so tired by the end of it. This was all because we were short of one staff member...grr! I hate it when my boss doesn't roster enough people on...makes everyone else do an extra person's job..it's just not fair....hmmph! Once work finished though, I rushed home and showered to get the stench of work off of me. I waited for bf to finish work to go to dinner at Ting's new restaurant in Bibra Lake...right next to Dr Bala...hehehe. We stopped to buy some champagne and beer to help celebrate. There weren't many people at the restaurant, but it wasn't all bad. We ordered a seafood claypot and also crispy chicken...yum! We caught up with Ting and Yeoh and played with Amber...who is still really naughty but cute. I stole 2 lollipops from her! hehe. We saw some trick-or-treaters wondering about too...I so wish I could go trick-or-treating one year! Anyway, after dinner we went back to bf's house to hang out for a little while...I think we played games or watched Jay, then I drove back home and had a good night's sleep =D
Saturday! I spent the morning planning a lesson for Alice...enjoyed it once again! Towards midday though, I got a message from bf saying that there would be no tutoring =( I was looking forward to it! Oh well at least the lesson will be ready for next week! Bf picked me up anyway, it meant that we had a free afternoon! So we decided to go shopping at carousel! But before that we stopped at Dumpling King to have lunch. I swear that place is so good! Not so much for the dumplings anymore, but the korean food, especially the sweet and sour pork! I ordered a fish head mee hoon, which came out as fish head la mien...but it was still yum and bf had a spicy seafood noodle. We just love our food. We got to Carousel and it was so busy there but what we really wanted to do was to check out the new part of the shopping centre that had just opened. It wasn't too bad, a lot of gaming stores and a JB Hi-Fi. There wasn't really anything for us to buy so we went back to bf's house and watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and fell asleep halfway through it. We woke up and watched Iron Chef, which was the Japanese version...it was so cool and funny...made our mouths water too! After that...real sleep time, so I was taken home.
Sunday! I had to wake up earlier than usual because today was bf and my big day out. I wanted to sleep in until 9:30 but I woke up at 8:30...gay. So I just played DS in bed ahaha...so lazy. I got up, showered and everything and bf picked me up to go into the city. We ate lunch at Saigon, which was pretty average but it was fun watching everyone walk past along the street...one of my favourite hobbies! Then, we walked to the train station and travelled to the Esplanade for some Redbull Air Race action. It was so windy when we reached the outdoors and the flies were terrible...argh so annoying. We wondered along the Esplanade stretch watching the planes and listening to them zoom away! It was so cool! Haha. But I think it would've been better to see the planes in South Perth, it was closer...but it was still great where we were. We found a really shady spot under a tree and played with the DS and took some happy snaps too. I also really wanted ice cream, but the line was wicked long so I missed out, but for some reason I was really upset that I didn't get my ice cream =( Plus the cold, the wind, and the bloody FLIES! hahaha...I felt better when we were sheltered by the train station. We got into NB and bf promised he'd buy me that ice cream ahah so I got Lychee gelato, much more yummier than the stupid redbull air race one...hmph! After that we continued our journey to the Elephant and Wheelbarrow Pub and had a drink as we waited for Calvin to come meet us. When he came we chatted for a while before we started walking to the stadium for another Perth Glory game. It was so much more bearable this time except our butts hurt like crazy after sitting on the concrete floor for 2 hrs. The first half was so boring, I found myself looking around at the crowd more than the actual game. Half time was also more entertaining, watching the little kids play soccer...they were so cute and pretty good too. Luckily, the second half of the game was more exciting and in the end...the Glory won! Yey! It was worth the sore butts. We walked back to the pub where bf and I had dinner. This time I tried the Beef and Guiness Pie, which was so good, kind of like a stew and bf ordered the bangers and mash, but the serving size was so much smaller than when I ordered it! Hehehehe...he got jibbed! After dindin, we went to Ezyway and tried a new bbt flavour, taro with double pearl...OMG...best flavour we have tasted so far...it is easily our favourite one now! Mmm! Gosh we are such pigs. Yeaps...that was it for the day...we went home and KOed =D
I sense exams are approaching for you guys, so best of luck to everyone with their study!!! HUGS and JIA YOU!! Soon you will all be on holidays ehehe!
