(Our Christmas tree this year =D)
Weeeeeee! I love xmas so much! The food, the company, the events, the biblical meaning..just the atmosphere puts most people in high spirits...it's contagious. Compared to last year, this xmas for me has been a little more low key...just the family and bf hehe...which is nice...having friends over like last year was really great too! What I enjoy about the days leading up to christmas? my mum peeking through all the presents and 'guessing' them and also admiring the tree! And the actual day? Spending it with family, friends and watching lots of xmas programs on TV! The joy of it all!
To celebrate xmas eve, last night I went to bf's house for a little xmas dinner with his family, a turkey, massive tiger prawns and yummy noodles! Those prawns were mouth wateringly good! One prawn, equated to 4 prawns...they were just huge! hehe and it was also the first time that I had eaten turkey from its bones...I nust say...it tasted a lot like chicken...there wasn't much difference to me! Afterwards, bf and me went to the church near his house to meet up with my parents...we were there to support my dad, who was in the xmas play! The church was small, full of old and the very young...we kind of felt like we were on the spotlight, being newcomers and all...but the people were friendly and smiled heaps. Everyone spoke in Chinese, so we kind of struggled with what the pastor said...I only just understood most of it. We played a lot of funny games, watched a girl play a song on her violin and then the play! Haha, it was the funniest rendition of the story of the birth of baby Jesus I had ever seen...with a diva and elvis! My dad played a construction worker that danced and made him look like one of the guys from that old band, the Village people (the people that sang YMCA?) Yeah...that was pretty embarrassing..but meh...it's the silly season after all! When the play finished, everyone exchanged gifts and I went back to bf's house to watch the Transporter and also enjoyed chocolate mudcake and apple strudel..yom!
It was dorky's 25th birthday on Friday as you all would've known hehe. He didn't want to do anything, but I think at work, everyone surprised him with a cake and a World Cup Trophy, which I might add looks awesome, but it's bloody heavy! The trophy was from Clavin, Fooky, Kristy, Ama, Jas and me! I had to do a lot of messaging in facebook with Calvin to organise things...but I think it turned out well in the end...his workmates are so nice! Bf also opened up the presents my mum and me got for him, framed soccer jerseys and cologne, from the look on his face, he seemed to like it..yay! Because bf didn't want to do much for his birthday, we just went out for dinner at Ciao Italia!! That place is so good! We had to wait outside though, but it was worth the wait. We ordered chilli mussels, calamari and salad and also a spaghetti marinara. We over ordered again...we didn't realise how huge the servings of that place was. Dinner was enjoyable and I was so happy to see that the photo of me and SF was still stuck on the front counter =D I feel like such a celebrity ahaha. Afterwards, bf drove me around King's park, Matilda Bay, Heathcote and we also looked at houses...we stopped at a jetty and admired the still waters..it was really nice, for once, it felt like time had just stopped =) It was a really great night...muahs love you and I hope that you had a wonderful birthday!
Saturday day, we went to the gym! Second time going now! Like wow! There were a lot more people working out...felt a bit conscious because everyone there was so buff! At night...we went out for dinner with bf's family and friends at a restaurant near me. I didn't know anyone but I met a really nice girl that went to my highschool, think her name was Lucia. I think I ate a lot because the next day, bf's brother, Alan said his friend told him that for a little person, I eat a lot. Sigh ahaha. After dinner, bf and me watched Twilight! OMG, I'm in love with Edward Cullen! hehe the movie was a bit slow with very little action..but I think it was supposed to be a romance/drama more than anything else...so I quite enjoyed it. I've decided that I am going to buy the book series...I just can't wait to find out what happens next to that vampire!
Sunday...bf and me went to the Canningvale markets...there wasn't very much to see...so we went the the cafe and had lunch. The food there is surprisingly good and inexpensive. Hehe then of course we went to the candy shop nearby and went crazy! Not really..we bought bf's dad a bucket if lollies for xmas hehe. At night....dorky's work had a christmas dinner party at East Fremantle Yacht Club. The venue was very nice, with the water and well....yachts surrounding us! hehe..dinner was your typical xmas dinner, but in buffet form..it was very satisfying and I didn't need a second round =P wahahaha! Towards the end of the night, bf's workmates boogied down on the dancefloor, which was really funny because they were all old and trying to be hip! I t was a really fun and great night..thanx dorky for inviting me!
