It's only been less than a week since I came back from my holiday in Singapore and already...it feels like I never left...I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. I think it was because since the beginning of my trip...I was dying to come back to read the last book of the Twilight series. I don't think that I should've left the book unfinished before leaving...it was what I kept thinking about during free time. Hmm I'm in love with a fictional character...Edward Cullen...teeheehee!
Anywaaaays...my trip!
The first day...
I remember the first thing we did was eat mushroom and cheese prata after a very uncomfortable, Tiger Airways flight. It was sooooo good! This prata was what I came to Singapore for! Afterwards we dropped bf's mum off at her sister's house and surprised the family with bf's arrival (they hadn't seen him for 15 years). His grandma let rip a huge fart...oh the wonders of first impressions hehe. His family seemed very nice, even though we disturbed them so early in the morning. I actually felt quite comfortable being around them...all the ladies were my height =D After a good catchup, ama arrived, which meant hotel time! We stayed at Lion City for..a day and couldn't really take it anymore after that...so close to Geylang, man haha. Next day we were at Orchard Parade Hotel, waiting for charmcharm to arrive...he sure got a mouthful from our wonderful ama!
The first week...
For the week we were in Orchard Parade...all we really did was shop along Orchard. It was pretty tiring but fun. But, it was sad to see that some of our favourite shops had gone. Hmm besides shopping...we did alot of double dating! We watched IP Man (good movie!), had dinners and ate a lot of Old Chang Kee's together...but mostly...we shopped...felt sorry for the guys after a while =P We also met up with bf's cousin and aunty who took us around Bugis...we discovered a clothing market there and also visited bf's mum's friend's, Lovie's shop...Lovie, what a sweet name! Sometime during the week, Asilenut also brought us out to Dempsey Hill where I drank my beloved Pina Colada at Harry's Pub. Bf's brodda/mate, Nathan also met us there. Aww...it was so touching and sweet to see bf look into another guy's eyes with such love =) The rest of the days went fast and pretty soon Jasmine arrived in sunny Singapore to join us!

Chicken's arrival...
It's bwoking tiiime! The night chicken came, we all went to sing karaoke! Steph and her Lee also joined us. Since we started going karaoking alot more in Perth, singing K in Singapore didn't seem as special anymore...I guess it was just a must and trip down memory lane =) I ordered my favourite mocktail...a Shirley Temple! The next day all of us moved to Ang Mo Kio to Jas's mum's shop house. It was pretty big and spacious, but for some reason we all stuck to one room and created a huge bed for us all to sleep in..it was like a giant slumber party. Since Jas was with us now, we were able to revisit shopping plazas and did a bit of touristy things, like go to Clarke Quay, where we drank at the Clinic. Man, it was such a rip off and the drinks sucked...oh well, we did it for the thrill! It was sad to also find out that MOS had shut down while we were there too =( We also went to East Coast to help celebrate bf's cousin's birthday...his cousin had hired out a little chalet type place, which looked spooky and we were all so sure that the resort used to be some sort of housing for those serving NS...we were wrong! But it was supposed to be haunted...oooo! That day charmcharm had to leave for Brunei...byebye charm!

The last week...When charm left, I think we started doing more things, don't know if it was because he was gone or if it was because we realised that our days were coming to an end or what..maybe it was because we couldn't think of anything else to do! We went out with Lovie one night, hoping to eat Katong Laksa, but it was closed so we ended up exploring Geylang at night. Omg, what an experience, the hookers...they really do line up with their pimps and allow guys to choose whoever they want. Most of them looked really young too, wearing just bras on the street and prancing around almost naked..it was a bit disturbing. The amazing thing was that along each bend there were specific groups of hookers in their ethnic groups...Indians had their area, Chinas and Camobodians or something like that. So if you want to experience something different on your next trip to Singapore...Geylang is the place to go! But, don't ask for the best durian that they have...it costs around $70...we suffered. We also met up with Asile again at Orchard and he took us girls to a Thai cafe place to eat authentic Thai food. The food was soooooo spicy, but quite nice. It was really entertaining there too because the cafe was located in a transvestite hang out place...so guess what we saw a lot of? Hehe a lot of stupid European guys getting suckered in by trannies..oh it was fun to watch..most of the trannies were really quite pretty too, until they opened their mouths. After that we took a bus somewhere only to go back to where we were before...it was confusing but in the end we ended up at a fancy bar where I had Pina Colada again =) We also went to the Night Safari, which was OK, alot of rushing and running! We all sweated heaps there...what a workout that night was! On another night we went to Zouk and watched the finals of the Gatsby dance contest there. Then we went upstairs to Phuture I think it was and played drinking games on an empty stomach...bad idea I tell you! After the drinks were gone, we were on the dance floor, then I was outside for the remainder of the night with bf hehe thanx bebe. It was all good, he managed to meet up with Nathan again! I woke up that morning and ate cold mushroom and cheese prata for breakfast..life saving stuff!

The last day =(The day before we left, the girls decided to pack suitcases in our PJ's while dorky visited his other grandma. We were so lazy! After packing we just bummed in our room until night where we decided to have our last meal together at Newton..oh the food that we ordered was so yummy...black pepper crab is the best! It was a good last meal for us and I think bf found it even better because Nathan met up with us and they had a beer together =) The night ended quickly and before we all knew it we started to go our separate ways. Bf's relatives picked us up and gosh, there were quite a lot of them. We had our final meal together at the budget terminal cafe...it wasn't terribly authentic there but good all the same. Then we were hugging and waving our goodbyes to everyone...bf's grandma was the cutest! How I'd love to see her again one day =) The plane trip home was more comfortable this time because we bought neck pillows..smart! I actually slept through half the journey! At customs...we were pretty much the last people out all because of three ugly looking sea cucmbers, which had to be identified as unendangered species before they could be free to leave. Stupid things...bet they'll taste good though! We finally got out from customs where we were greeted by my mummy and daddy..ooh how I missed my mum's cooking...it felt good to be back!! But what a nice and fun holiday I had...next trip...London? =DDD
