I couldn't think of what to do today, so I decided to blog it out...but first things first...
hAPPy BiRthdAy MuMMy!!!
She turns 52 today!! I can always remember her age because she is 30 years older than me, which I guess isn't that much..my mummy is still young hehehe. All is good between us now...Love you! Thank you! Got her a digital photoframe, pistachio cake and 2 tickets to see Dralion...hope she likes it =) Thank you dorky for helping me organise everything.
I finished watching the Little Nyoyna =) It was such a nice series...watch it everyone! My mum made ang gu kueh too, I shall have to sneak one later...I want to be a little nyonya too!
What else has happened...on Sunday, Eva, Jas, Ama, Charm, dorky and me played badminton at the rec centre..hohoho it was fun but really tiring. Everyone was scared of Dorky's baddy skills...smashing the shuttlecock at people...so notti and dangerous...he even hit Eva with it. There were also a few injuries, mostly sore bums, sides, chests, arms and bf's blistered hand...don't know how he managed that. After a good play, we went to Yummy BBQ for dim sum and it was yumyum. After lunch, I went grocery shopping and bought healthy breakfast foods!
Tuesday, I had work and it was extremely boring. I worked with all the aunties so all I talked about was studies...bleh. Time passed by really slowly too. At night, Jas, Ama, Charm, bf and me went out to Ciao Italia for dinner. We didn't have to wait too long for a table...we were squished next to a couple, who seemed really amazed at how much we ordered...4 pastas, a pizza and chilli mussels, which as predicted...was more than our stomachs and table could handle...it sucked because most of us had limited our eating during the day for this and kept our tumtums empty...what a big failure...we left 2 pastas, which were almost untouched. The food was still pretty good...love the marinara and mussels! yom! After all that we could still fit in dessert, we ordered a gianduia al cioccolato aka profiterolles filled with baci custard, covered in 3 layers of chocolate...it was cool. Once dinner ended and the bill was sorted, we drove down South Perth and did a bit of sight seeing...it was really nice seeing the city from a different view. We also went to East Perth to marvel at the houses and also checked out the bums living in the tunnel hehe. Then we had a drink at the 24 hour subway and then headed back home.
On Wednesday...J,A,C,B,W2 and me met up at Vic Park for dinner. We took ages to decide what to eat haha but ended up at a Jap restaurant. I had my salmon fix yey! Dinner was alright...just that the vegetables in our curries were massive...they took alot of effort to eat. Wei had to psyche himself to go to the Makan2 toilets...you should've seen how fast he finished his dinner just so he could go....amazing. When he came back...he ate our leftovers haha. Anyway...afterwards we headed to the casino...it was hell packed...think ama mentioned that there was a mega draw. We met up with Ama's mum first, who had won on the machines! Machines are the best. Then we walked around watching people gamble....charm, chucky and jas gambled a bit too. haha at jas! she's a funny chicken. Had my chocomilk too...so I was satisfied with the night =P We went home early because dorky and me had work the next day. It was a fun night.
Thursday...had work...was working with the aunties again...argh so boring. It was mega busy as well....I got a backache =( But oh well, my boss paid me a bit extra...and so she should've! hehehe At night, just spent it with dorky watchin slumdog millionaire...it was pretty good...a bit random at the end though haha. I also ate a whole punnet of cherries.
Todaaaay...still have to pick up mummy's cake from charles and then I think out for dindin with the famliy and hopefully dorky mum and dad too...mm food! Then pokerface night at 9!! Looking forward to it...
Hooray!! I wasted time...now I'll nap =P

OK....trying very hard to remember the week. It's gone really fast that my memory is a bit blurred and I don't feel like going into much detail ahaha...oh well lets see where my fingers lead me....
Started the week with work...I was relieved to pick up more shifts. It kind of saved me from being bored at home. Nothing really stood out at work besides my boss not being there and being in HK instead...it was pleasant...felt like there were no eyes watching me, us. Mel started uni this year...she's studying psychology at Notre Dame..yay for her! I wish I was still studying =( I also had a long conversation with Claire about her breakup...it was quite interesting...I find breakup stories intriguing. From the sounds of things, she's OK and is still friends with her ex...but I have a feeling that she's really cut by it all...her first bf and breakup...need to check up on her next time we work together I think...
On Tuesday...I made a vegetable frittata...my brothers ate it all, which meant it must have tasted alright...yey! bf and me also had this urge to eat waffles, so I consulted chicken about it...got the OK and then sent sms's to the friends to meet up at gelares. The best thing was that everyone I messaged turned up...hooray! I only ordered a regular waffle and shared it with bf...I think we had a really filling dinner beforehand...but I can't remember what we ate...oh well...waffles were good! I remember slopping it everywhere though =( Such a grub. Afterwards, we all drove to the videostore and rented out 2 horror movies and headed back to Jen's place. We watched the movies in complete darkness...could see the shadows of the trees outside...kind of creepy...anyway the first movie was called Boo about a haunted hospital....it started off OK and then as Jas said...it had a gay ending, very confusing. Next we watched Broken...it was disgusting but I wouldn't say scary? The whole movie was set in the forest and had such little dialogue that I think wei and jen fell asleep haha and we fast forwarded bits...crap movie! I didn't get any nightmares that night.
Next day had work again. It was dead quiet. Nothing happened, but unexpectedly, time went fast. At night, bf and me went bowling with eva, tim, jas, ama, jen and steph. My first 4 bowls were really bad and I remember someone saying that I wouldn't catch up...ahem...but funnily enough I caught up =P It was funny. The second game, I hurt my thumb...stupid bowling holes. I inspected my thumb closer and found it was actually cut on my thumb...gees...bowling can be dangerous. But it was fun!! I think Tim beat us all, followed by Eva...should split them up next time, but what am I saying...our team won =D After bowling we all started to head to Jen's house for floats or spiders as I call them =P Before that, bf and me made a quick stop to Maccas and had cheeseburgers and an apple pie...such pigs! At Jen's house, I had a coke zero spider...yom! I also had a green jelly...good work jen =P Then we played a card game, which was really fun! Think I got overly excited though...I started squealing =(
Thursday, bf and me went to the gym instead of our ritual of late night shopping. I think the Maccas the night before made us feel fat. We worked out for 50 minutes straight. Treadmill, rowing machine, bikes and then cross trainer. We are hardcore! I felt really good afterwards though. Had a small dinner and rockmelon for dessert yum!
Friday...had work again, although I didn't feel like going and was close to calling in sick. I just felt so tired and sleepy. I went anyway...time went so slowly, even though I was let go half an hour early. I went grocery shopping afterwards...I likey! It means I can cook more =P At night, I went out for dinner with bf to Sai Koh. Mmmm..I was really craving jap food, especially sashimi! We got that, bulgolgi? sai koh sushi, tempura udon and also a chicken udon...yummers!! After that, we went to meet up with jas, ama and charm to watch My Bloody Valentine. I thought it was going to be in 3D...but it wasn't hahaha oh well. I thought the movie was quite alright...had a lot of jolty moments. Jas was funny to watch...she had her bag in front of her face most of the time =P After that, we all went to Utopia for bbt!! Saw someone there...made me go grrr because that person as I'm sure everyone heard, but I'll say it again...is such a hypocrite..grrr. But, I won't let that get to me...at least I have real friends =) When I got home....I started watching the Little Nyonya...wow it's pretty good! I cried so much in some of the episodes...just so dramatic! I watched it until 2:30am, I think...and slept without blankets...don't know why...then in the morning I realised and panicked haha.
Well that's all that I could remember =P

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
Some people dread this Hallmark holiday...and I have to admit, I was one of them for a while, until I got into a relationship...yes I was suckered in like the rest of the world! I guess I'm just being a complete girl here =P Anyway, I spent most of the day preparing his gift...baking, printing photos and doing all the yucky stuff like writing love notes ahaha...luckily I got everything finished by 5:40, ten minutes before he was due to pick me up! The pressure in getting it all done in time, really made me excited for the night ahead! Sad, yes! (
Gift from me to him...cookies =D)He picked me up and was giving me a cheesy grin...he was smartly dressed, which means he made effort haha...hehe what we wore kind of matched! How sickening it must have been to those who saw us =P He put my hamper that I gave him in the backseat of the car and hehehe the gift from him was sitting next to it! Awww I love it so much!! He did the typical Valentine's thing and gave me a box of chocolates, a Me2U bear and a panda full of stars!
(
His gift for me...so sweet!)But, he told me that his gift didn't stop there...he drove me to a destination unknown for a surprise dinner. He went to the city and drove into a carpark that I had never been to and we caught a lift up 30 something floors to a circular restaurant....the C Restaurant! It was all so nice!
Everyone at the restaurant was sitting in pairs because it was a special V day event, so there had to be a booking for a set meal of 4 courses! The atmosphere was really, really nice with a piano player and singer, singing most of my favourite slow songs...ah, so spoilt
(
My veal...yom!)The food was really good as well...all quite strange but I really liked it! Fine dining is awesome. I loved the oyster shots..yommm, I could have heaps of those and also the lobster and safron jelly! My veal was very tender and the caramelised apple was good too! And the desserts...so pretty! Haha. Good food! Even though the portions were small, we were both surprisingly really full afterwards. By the end of the meal, we made one full circle around the restaurant and ended up at the spot where we started...the best part of all the night though, was seeing the sun set in front of us, just as we took the last bite of our dessert...it was all just perfect timing =)
(
The yummiest oyster shots!)The next part of the gift was a movie! We watched He's just not that into you. It was really good...can't believe how many celebrities were in that movie! I thought the story line was very cleverly put together...I'd watch it again =P I also saw some people at the cinema that I knew, which was entertaining...like "genie in a bottle" girl...think her real name is Winda..lol...she got that name for being on Australian Idol and really embarrassing herself and we also saw Calvin, who was with a girl workmate...oooer!! Funfunfun!
(
My Valentine xoxo)
Hehe and that was it for Vday...I had a great night, full of love! My first Valentine's day...with a guy! Thank you bebe for such a great night..you are the best and I love you!
PS: roses next year hahaha =P

Tie a knot, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, tuck, pinch-ouch, pinch-ouch, pinch-ouch, pinch-ouch, pinch-ouch...arrgh star folding never ends! Everytime I tap the star jar, the level of stars....goes down...not up...but down...it's driving me crazy!! Buuuutttt...it's all for a good cause! (Keep going Evy...)
(Happy Boy! What makes you so happy? - no more star folding please)
Getting into a baking and cooking mood again...might be making something very special in the near future..just need a bit of loving ingredients =D Hmmm...something sweet, something pretty, something tasty...can you guess?
Crapoolah...it seems that I am getting caught up in this whole Valentine's day thing...never thought it would happen to me...but it is...I'm just wondering what he has planned...must outwit and beat him!!!
Would it be weird if I got him flowers? LOL
Thinking about what to do is draining...I have a headache =(
Also, there's no Gossip Girl, How I met your mother OR 90210 to watch...double =( =(
On an even more random note...I paid $5 for one gluestick yesterday...the world is going crazy!
Nothing more to blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cry so easily these days...I think it's all the stress and pressure that's been loaded on top of me. Being unemployed seriously sucks. (Boo I always blog about the same thing). It's depressing. I am at home all day watching shows, trying to make resources for teaching..just in case something comes up and facebooking! My goodness..in a way all that is all so tiring. What tires me most though, is my mum's continuous nagging...I feel like crying. I can't really face her much these days, which is why I stay in my room most of the time. Actually, even when I am in my room...I can hear her talking loudly about me...it's hard to block it all out. Asian parents suck. Wishing that my mum had a different attitude towards all this...then perhaps I could talk to her about my problems. I at least have hope that there will be an offer for me.
Anyways..emo crap aside. CNY is coming to an end...so sad and yet so indifferent to me. My family hasn't really celebrated a part from nicer dinners and a tiny bit of mah jong. A few people have come visiting but it's all the same...luckily CNY hasn;t been all boring for me. I've been following bf around all weekend for lion dance. It's really quite fun getting caught up in it all...you feel like you're a part of something great. On the first weekend of CNY we went and followed the liondance troupe to households, a restaurant in Midland, the Chung Wah ball at burswood, Christmas Island ball, which was also at Burswood and more restaurants. Getting to know some of the lion dancers a bit better was really good too...they're all really friendly and funny. If only I could do lion dance too...think my body would break though. After every performance we would be treated to dinner..omg free food! I felt kind of bad eating the food, even though I didn't do much...but bf assured me it was ok ahaha...so yey! The food each night wasn't too bad...I am in love with salted egg squid though...mmmm!! I think I had a total of 3 free dinners..eeps! Thanx Chung Wah!
During CNY, I also went to the Hawker Bazaar with my parents. It was a freaking hot day and we were outdoors all morning. I sweated heaps! The food wasn't too bad, but quite the expensive seeing as the foods came from restaurants in Perth! There was quite a lot to see there. Geishas on stilts! Like wow, you don't see that everyday! And a person in a cow suit in 25 degree heat...ouch. After an hour of being in the sun, my parents of course entered the casino where yes...I was checked for ID...gay. I had a very boring time just watching roulette...I still didn't really understand how to play. I was watching the people play...there was this stupid Asian lady who didn't know how to play and kept putting random chips down and causing disputes..I think the dealer almost broke down and had to be replaced. The best part of the casino was the chocomilk, it was yum as always and best of all...it was free =) I'm such a cheapass this cny lol.
I met up with Jenny. I hadn't seen her in ages! Plus, I needed help in choosing a present for wei2 and Jen was the best I could get...she snoops through his room! We met at our usual meeting spot and then as we got off the bus, I totally stacked it =( Lucky only Jenny and maybe one other bus driver saw. Boo. We went to the city and just wandered aimlessly around for ages before we stopped to eat at Takas. We caught up heaps and found out she's doing nursing at ECU...yey for her, but at Joondalup...so far! Oh well, I promised I'd help her find her way there before orientation day...adventure! We talked about Wei and his interests...which was pretty interesting to say the least! We ended up getting him 3 Peter Alexander sleeping singlets, 2 candles from dusk (because he uses them...) a birthday balloon and also a me2u bear! After that we rushed to catch the train only to find out we had missed the bus back home, so we were stuck browsing at Target for an hour. Thanx Jenny for helping me...such a successful day!
It was Wei Wei's birthday on the 4th! HAPPY 21ST! I felt bad because Wei had to ring me up for an RSVP. Oops, sorry! He invited us out for dinner at Hong Lin chinese restaurant. I think Joyce's family owns it or Tak? Not sure, but it was in Hamilton Hill. We picked up Ama and went there to meet up with Jien and Eva. Jon, Sarah and Sharon arrived at the same time. I said hello to them, but that was it...hmm guess we aren't that close anymore...but I guess it's been like that for over a year now since I stopped going to GMC. Anyway...Wei hadn't even arrived yet so we mingled with the people on the table and played with heart and star confetti! Made lots of pretty patterns =P Then birthday boy arrived in his suit...most people were dressed semi-formal, except dorky and a couple of others..sorry dork!! We were served soooooo much food, luckily we had some guys on the table otherwise there would be mass wastage. The food wasn't too bad...I liked the pork spare ribs...yummo! We had Mr Foo's cake in the shape of a key and also watched a slide show of Wei's life...some of the photos...a wee bit disturbing ahah but the baby pics were cute! It was good to catch up with everyone again...good stuff! Happy 21st again Weiweiii! =)
Hmm what else...On Sunday, I accompanied bf and his mum to Marangaroo Temple to watch mass lion dancing. I think there around abouts 20 lions there and also a dragon. Argh Asian people can be really pushy...I kept getting knocked here and there because people kept wanting to pat the lions. Actually...it was just the little kids! The lions were cool though...so many jumping around...it was like a lion party. After the performance, we all enjoyed vegetarian food..it was so yummy! Afterwards, I was a little sad...no more lion dance until next year =( It was good while it lasted!
Valentines Day is coming up oooooerrrr. I've been folding stars for that dorky and he's been doing the same for me. The skin on my thumb and index finger have gone hard =( I'm still hunting for something to give him...haha can't believe how suckered I am into Vday. Oh well...any chance to go and eat somewhere nice....not really sure what he's up to. I only got a clue...4 course dinner somewhere unknown and I have to wear a dress lol...such a dorky! muahs
Think that's it for now...can't wait to watch episode 18 of GG!!
xoxo
