I'm feeling tired and lazy, but I feel like blogging. For once I have a tonne of other more interesting things to do, but I just cbb doing them! I blame the lazy weekend for my lack of activity.
Anyway, let me cut to the chase with what dorky and me did on our 2 year....since we both had work during the day, we could really only afford to celebrate with just dinner. We ended up eating at the Cinnamon Club for our 2 year celebration, which is an Indian restaurant in Leederville. Eating Indian for our anniversary has a bit of significance for both of us, on the day we became official we ate at Maya Masala in the city...I think our first Indian cuisine experience and we both fell in love with it! So yeah...pretty simple, but meaningful =) The food at the Cinnamon Club was super good...really authentic stuff, so very full of spices is all I can describe it. We had pappadums with dipping yoghurts, a tasting plate with naan, giant, spicy samosas, tandoori lamb? these cheese/tofu sticks and fish! Eating all that as a starter already made me half full. For mains, we had a rogan josh lamb curry and a fish curry with a weird name..both equally as yummy, but we were both really full to finish it all...and the pots were so small too...we suck...can't eat as much as we used to =( Because of all that food, we skipped dessert...so sad! But very happy to have spent it with my dorkyness. We also explored the Leederville cafe strip...I'm thinking of maybe having my bday at Kalis Bros there...followed by coffee? We shall seeeee hehehe. Muahs! Thank you for a wonderful night =P
Fridaaaaaaay...I spent the day semi-cleaning. At night bf and me just hung out...watched a movie at his house I think...or mine? It was very relaxing =)
Saturdaaaaaaay...Dorky had the whole long weekend off for once...so he came over for lunch and we had our first go at cooking asian styled noodles! No shops were open so we had to shop at FJ's, which supplied us with baby bok choy, beef and hokkien noodles. We prepared everything pretty well...marinated the beef, softened the noodles, added just the right amount of sauces....it was a success...yeeeeeey! We can cook an Asian dish...you just don't know how proud we were =D We ate those noodles quite lovingly, with just a plate left to spare for my brother who ate it all up! Good job cooking partner. After lunch we hung out, then dorky went off to play soccer with friends while I watered the garden! At night he came back to pick me up for the Chung Wah liondance dinner thing at Tony Romas. Yummmmm, juicy ribs for me! I had a really good time chatting and catching up with Chenelle, which reminds me, I have to order a cake from her...must remember. My ribs were a little burnt, but hey I guess I can't complain about having a free dinner, plus the really yummy dessert! Thanks Chungwah hehe! After dinner, we all went to the hall in Northbridge, where they train, for a presentation and giving of awards. It didn't last very long at all...think the troupe didn't recruit new members...it was quite entertaining though...Kwun tried to pick me up in front of everyone...pretty sure I squealed =( Anyway...yomyom babyback ribbbbbbbbbs!!
Sundaaaaaaay...the day my parents came back. I invited dorky to come around to my house for a big breakfast, which we ended up eating past lunch time. We grilled some steak, bacon, red onions, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, english muffins and some canned spaghetti!! It was our very own no lunch brekky! We didn't even finish all the food...such poor form again =( To work off all that food, I nominated dorky to help me clean the house...he swept and mopped while i cleaned toilets and bathrooms...thanks for your help =D Night time, dorky and me were watching a cooking/food show on TV, which made him crave for wonton noodle soup...so we went to Taurus to eat that...I had my yang tau foo mai fun again! After not eating much, we watched more food TV...and I got a call fro my mum asking where I was....they were half an hour early, which has never ever happened to us before, but we got to the airport in 10 minutes to pick them up...my brother was wearing a cowboy hat for some reason...he's so weird. We transported them home and I spent the rest of the night going through my presents hehe! Muahs to my dorky for everything =) And yay...parents are home =D
Mondaaaaaay...still a public holiday...well sort of..shops were operating! I woke up to my parents mass cleaning the whole house...all of my efforts from the day before had gone to waste =( Oh well...they didn't ask me to do anything...so maybe they did appreciate something hehe. Dorky and me made use of the day and went to the city for a browse about. It was pretty busy I must say. We went upstairs someplace to a foodcourt where I ordered my favourite there...a pork roll with chips for $7.50!! Such a bargain for the amount you get...best buy =D While dorky had a Thai seafood laksa...which was awesome! Haha...hmm i wonder why I keep blogging about food...of all things I like to keep tab of what I eat...so bad....makes me look like I eat alot! Oh well..good food must be shared with others!! Maybe I should turn this blog into one of those food review blogs with pictures...ooooo and give star ratings!!! Haha blerghhhhh....Annnnyway enough with food, what else did we do...we spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying what the city had to offer, bought a few things for ouselves...he also tried to scoop out what I wanted for my birthday by taking me almost everywhere...don't stress yourself out dude!!! Haha =P It was a good day exspet for the nagging which has slowly started again by my parents =( Must must not be so lazy!! Work tomorrow...boo!
DS gaming time =D Until next time...
