Oh goshy gosh...a week has flown past and it really feels like I have not had a break to look after the house. My floor is starting to get all dusty and I can see a lot of grime in sinks...it's pretty gross. I should probably use my time more wisely...2 more weeks until they get back. Uh oh..there are still alot of things that I promised them that I'd do and haven't even begun to do yet...must get my butt into gear I think. Argh! I really feel like I have had a taste of being domesticated...wonder how long it will last.
I haven't blogged for about a week now, I've just been so tired and busy lately..all I really got up to during the last week was work, hanging with dorky and I guess the only exciting thing that happened was on Wednesday when I took a bus to Jas's house...it was an adventure for me, I haven't taken a bus alone to someplace unknown for a while...I quite enjoyed the thrill of it all...anyway I ended up at the back gate of her house. Charm was already at the house waiting for Ama to arrive so we could all go to Subiaco for pizza. While we waited, we played the uber addictive restaurant game and I also made myself comfortable on her new ikea sofa...was so lovely and soft! At around 3 in the afternoon all 4 of us devoured many slices of pizza at a tiny cafe called Deli-something or rather....it was pretty good...we left 3 slices for Adam...actually they were leftovers haha. Ama then took me home...thanks Ama! It was a nice spontaneous little date for us all, fun! After all that, for dinner...bf joined me and we went over to Ama's house for Bak Kuh Teh that her mummy cooked...yumyumyum! Thanx aunty!
On Thursday, we did the usual late night shopping at Carousel...dorky had a mission to buy smarter looking work clothes...black pants and black dress shoes, nice. Then we had to buy a present for a 1 month old boy, on behalf of Alan...the things we chose were so cute...a soft turtle toy with matching turtle booties and a photo album =) All of which were baby blue! At 9pm, we had planned to meet the gang at Garbo cinemas to watch 17 again, but only Ama and Charm could make it haha...it seemed like we were on a double date. The movie was enjoyable, can't believe I am saying this but, Zac Efron is actually pretty hot...doh! Grr at myself ahaha. He's cool. After the movie we drove to Maccas and had a light unhealthy snack on burgers and apple pies...mmm!
Friday...Good Friday. Dorky and me woke up super early to buy steamboat goodies at Emma's Seafood...bought alot of balls! Then we went to Chan brothers to buy some spinach. We spent the rest of the day not doing much but napping for 3 hours! Felt like we had no energy left afterwards...I felt so groggy and had a headache..I probably won't be doing that anytime soon! At night, we went to Ama's for steamboat...I saw all the food laid out on the table and got excited. We played Wii as everyone arrived and also as the food cooked. Felt a bit of awkwardness/weirdness throughout the night...I'm guessing things will never be the same or feel the same for me..it just doesn't feel natural anymore...I used to think we were similar in a way...values and morals at least, but I now know that we are different in significant ways...it's quite sad actually..I have no idea how things could've changed the way that they did...I am just glad I had enough sense to not get caught up with it all and in turn...lose real friends, like she did...but I guess that is life and you learn from it...I just hope that that is the case...that she realised and learnt from her mistakes and I also hope that this sudden reappearance will spark goodness and honesty rather than backstabbing and hidden agendas...it would be painful to go through all of that again. Anyway I digress...we had a good meal with plenty of multiple helpings ...yum! The soup tasted so good in the end! We played more Wii after dinner and then had an Easter egg hunt, which I cheated in hehe, but I found very little eggs in the end =( It was fun though! Then..we moved on to play Pictionary again...I swear we never get sick of the game! It was interesting to watch other people play...some were calm and collected..others went crazy...very entertaining! Dorky and me left around midnight...so tired and plus he had work the next day...poor boy.
Saturday...after dorky had work, we did a spot of shopping to buy some needs for the house...like toilet cleanser! Very much needed stuff because my brother is disgusting...I know why my mum gets aggro at cleaning now...I feel her frustration. Dorky bought some Bonds underwear in 3 colours because there was a 40% off sale! Shame that I couldn't find any that I really liked for myself =( We checked out Target and Kmart for the Easter egg sale, but everything was almost gone already....so sad. At night, Ama invited us to her house to help finish of the balls from steamboat. Her mum had made curry chicken...steamboat style! It was quite spicy at first but yum! I got full really easily...must've been the rice and prata I ate with the curry...it was very satisfying, thankyou mrs Lee for dinner! Afterwards we decided to go watch a movie...the Uninvited...it was a shame that Garbos had already stopped showing it and there wasn't much else to choose from to watch, so we ended up watching the Knowing...it was interesting to say the least, corny, too epic, weird at times. and it dragged on..haha. It was OK only...something to do on a Saturday night I guess =P We double dated again ahah! I went home and slept like a log that night.
Sunday...dorky came over to fix the sprinkler that he broke haha. I had 2 neighbours come to my house to let me know about them..how nice of them =) Anyway, we went to Bunnings to buy the sprinkler head and it was busy! Bunnings reminds me of Ikea....lots of things to see and lots of things that I want to buy...only difference is..Ikea is more attractive =P I got a free Easter egg and bought a sausage sizzle on the way out...then we had bbt and explored the oriental shop next door...it was fun talking about food hehe. We got back to my house and then attempted to fix the sprinkler many times...we both got very muddy...it was quite fun though! So should've splatted mud on dorky. He fixed the sprinkler successfully in the end and I think helped to save us water too...yey! Thankiew muahs! I went over to his house afterwards and we watched House Bunny and What Happens in Vegas...both enjoyable movies...quite funny! I played the restaurant game until I got sleepy...I have no idea why I keep playing it...I just want to make my restaurant look pretty =)
Monday...I got a phonecall from my mum...she's going to China tomorrow! I hope they have a really fun time and stay safe..wish I could be there too! She was telling me where they had been in the past week...Langkawi, Cameron Highlands, Penang, Ipoh...boohoo so much yummy food! I told her about how lazy my brother was...she told me to scold him haha..I'll leave that to her. . After that phonecall, bf and me went to meet charmanda and jas at the cinemas to watch Uninvited! And this time it was really showing and Jas was there! It was pretty alright...nice twist to it! Next, we had a feast at Fast Eddy's! We actually finished everything for once..we must've been hungry...such pigs! After eating we went back to Ama's place to play a bit of Wii...been to Ama's house so many times this week haha. Thanx for lending us your house hehe!
Now it is night time and the long 4 day weekend has come to an end and it has surprisingly been pretty long! It was quite eventful, but not so much Easter-related for me. Time to reflect...I feel guilty for not really appreciating the meaning behind Easter for this particular year because every year my parents ask me to go to church, but this year I didn't... That's probably why I haven't really thought about it much...hmm, pretty bad of me, but I did pray =) I just hope that I am not losing touch in what I really believe in...anyway...hope that everyone enjoyed Easter!
