I'm cold!! I slept in until 10 this morning...my bed felt so snuggly...ah for once in my life I can say that I love Mondays =) Don't worry though...I think I will start hating them in the very near future...enjoy it while I can, I say.
Anyway..Thursday...what happened? I had work, which was pretty good. We had enough staff on and it wasn't very busy..well not as terrible as last week's shift. It was really pleasant and I had a lovely chat with Hayley, she's just gorgeous =) In the evening dorky and I went to Carousel for our usual shopping adventure...we ate at Maya Masala, but we did not force ourselves to finish the food...we shared a meat samosa instead, and it was pretty good! We browsed and ended up in JB HiFi, where we bumped into dorky's friend, Joseph...ha! I remembered his name and face..what an accomplishment for me! Anyway...this Joseph sent panic through dorky because he informed us that the last day of the sale for the match tickets...that is the Liverpool match in Singapore...was Friday (the next day)..uh oh! We hadn't even searched for the tickets yet and we had already booked flights and hotels...it would be very bad if we went there without watching the game...the trip would be somewhat miserable! So he rushed home to research and I have to admit that night...I overreacted a bit..blergh to me!
Friday...I wasn't in a very happy mood during the day due to the events of Thursday night...eventually I got over it, apology accepted and all is forgiven =) After that...we decided to skip gym for the day and went and watched Angels and Demons at Garbos...the cinema was packed and we had to sit in the second row from the front...my neck hurt just looking up for 2 and a half hours. We also saw Duncan there with one other person hehe. OK the movie, to be honest..after reading the book, didn't really didn't impress me at all. They made so many changes to the story that I kind of felt like it had turned into something else completely different. If I hadn't have read the book, then I guess the movie would have been just alright...moral of the story is..books are much better than the movie!! I think that I had a lovely sleep that night...
Saturday...I went to vote YES for daylight savings...I actually like it because it just feels like you can get so much more done in one day...I agree that they should shorten it to just 2 months though, because it does get very dark towards the end of the period. But alas, the majority of WA voted NO, so goodbye longer days =( Oh well...doesn't seem like Perth likes change at all...not even extended shopping hours! We are stuck behind times...sigh. No wonder so many people like to escape this city hoho. Bleh anyway, after I voted and dorky didn't, because he's not a registered voter (tsktsk), we went and made up for our gym session that we skipped. It was really good...there was no one except us, so we tried out some new equipment. I then went home and dorky went to play soccer...crazy boy. We met up again at night to eat at Ipoh Gardens...yummy mai fun soup and laksa for him as well as the crispy chicken and herbal tea! Yum! Again...we didn't force ourselves to finish the food..we were satisfied and not bloated...I think we are doing good =) After dindin we caught the movie Ghost of Girlfriends Past. It was quite funny and easy to watch...a very typical romantic comedy..it wasn't bad and plus we had much better seats than in Angels and Demons..so thumbs up to that!
On Sunday...dorky and me..the slightly less piggies we are, went and had lunch at that Penang restaurant in Northbridge..you know the blue one? Haha yea anyway...I tried the prawn noodles soup there...it was good! Tasted almost like my mum's except that they added fried pork fat/lard, which gave the dish more flavour. Dorky had a seafood laksa again! The ice lemon teas are good there too! After lunch we walked and browsed the mall. I saw boots that I liked and bags that i liked...but talked myself out of those purchases...trying to save here! haha. In the end he just bought a book and I got nothing! We walked down to IceyIce after and tried their oreo choc flavour...it was really nice! I got a lot of biscuit stuck in my teeth though...I looked so attractive. I went home afterwards and had dinner with my family like a good girl and played games on
