Weeeeee...another week has passed and what an eventful one it was...particularly the stormy weather...i love it! The snuggling in bed, all the hearty foods to eat like soups, stews and curries, and also sleeping to the sound of rain...so nice. Anyway...besides the weather...I did stuff too...
On Monday...I can't say I really remember what i did...so yes..Monday didn't exist!
On Tuesday, I had workies as usual. It was a good day i remember, but nothing out of the ordinary happened...oh Mel came in to work after uni and she has braces! So cute..she said they were embarrassing but I didn't even notice them until she pointed them out =P I'm finding alot of people are getting braces now at an older age...I wonder why that is...
Wednesday, I skipped work to accompany my mum to get a mammogram at the breast screening of WA in Fremantle. She was so nervous because it was her time...I guess she decided to go because she had recently gotten a pain in her right breast so she freaked out. Hope the results turn out to be OK. After the screening, we walked to Cicerellos and had fish and chips...hooray! We ate until we were bloated...such yummy food and the best thing was there weren't too many people around so we got to sit beside the water, very nice...shame the water was polluted with rubbish though =( After we ate, my mum bought gelatos for us both...mmm pistachio and baci! She must've really been in a good mood, or just relieved the screening was done. Afterwards when we got home, my mum got a phonecall from Wei's mum...very sad news...our family friend of a very long time, uncle Tony had passed away from a heart attack at only 58 years of age =( I felt my childhood flood back into my memory when I heard. Uncle Tony and his family have known mine since I born and we used to have Sunday School at his farm...I spent most of my childhood there playing on there and I still remember the cow skin rug they had. Uncle Tony was a great man and was the most dedicated father, husband and friend...how do I know this? you only have to see how happy his children and wife are to know that they have the happiest life. The saddest thing I heard was that his son had actually revived him when he fainted to the floor and they thought everything was going to be fine, but Uncle Tony just whispered, "Darling, I'm sorry" then he was gone...such shock and sadness, but we all know that he has gone to a better place...RIP uncle Tony.
Thursday...I had work again and the storm really showed its true colours! All of us just kept staring outside at the wind and rain..amazing stuff. I kept feeling sorry for the cleaner at the shopping centre though..everytime the auto doors opened, a whole lot of leaves would blow inside...so she would have to keep sweeping them, luckily the security guy came to help. I stayed at work for an extra half hour..I don't know why though...I didn't do anything but eat! At night...we did our usual round at Garbos...I had the mission of finding a book to read and dorky needed a belt! We saw Christina and Heston there...they're still together looking all happy and blur...maybe they really are a good match afterall...We also had dinner...we tried the soup scoop from muffin break. I had a pumpkin soup, which was poured into a hard bread roll..cute concept but bloody hard to devour. I got soup all over my fingers from trying the rip the bread carefully so that no soup would spill out...after eating it for a while I found a HAIR in my soup that didn't belong to me...so gross. I don't think I will be getting that again. At 8pm we headed off to utopia for our last gathering with Wei for a while...lucky him..jetting off to Malaysia for 5 weeks...he deserves the holiday though, so I hope he has a really great time! We'll all miss his funny laugh for a while I'm sure =P Bbt was good as usual...a bit cold though, but we soon made our way to the comfy seats =) I don't think we really gossiped as much this gathering...we were having more normal conversations I think...weird.
On Friday...I made some potato and bacon soup, because I wasn't satisfied with that hairy pumpkin one! Grr! These days when I want opinion on whether my cooking tastes alright or not I ask my mum and brother...they are brutally honest when it comes to feedback haha. But I seemed to have gotten pretty good reviews so yey! I stored some soup away for dorky too =) I know he likes soup....I heated it up before he came over and my brother told me that it was weird seeing me be so nice and caring...my mum shut him up and told him that he wouldn't understand because he had no gf...so ha! Then he said it was sweet..what a weird comment. In the evening, dorky and I went to Nandos!! It was really tasty today, especially the spicy rice, which wasn't hard, but soft and fluffy! As we ate, in front of us was this baby girl, who was probably one years old? She was Korean or Chinese, I'm not sure, but she was really cute and she kept waving at us and playing peek-a-boo. I have never seen such a friendly baby with that long of an attention span. Anyway we played until she and her dad had to leave...we saw her go outside and wait for a car to pick them up...we were eating beside the full length window and she saw us and ran away from her dad up to the window and was giving us the biggest and cutest smile (smile with no eyes type) and kept waving and laughing...omg so cute! She did that twice ahaha...such a funny girl...her dad was laughing too. After that we went and watched Night at the Museum 2. It was really funny and I thought a pretty good sequel to the first...maybe even better than the original! The only bad thing about that movie wasn't the movie itself, but the people watching it...omg the Asian people sitting in front of us had this really strong Asian smell of mothballs! You know that smell I'm talking about right? And also the kids sitting next to me kept talking and asking what was happening and kept blowing on their lollipop whistles...grrr! Oh and our favourite seats were taken too =( So...good thing the movie made up for everything haha...oh well it was a fun night =P
Now it is Saturday...it's not very stormy at the moment, but you never know...things might pick up later in the day...I want to see more wind blowing! Since nothing is happening at the moment I should share some random things...I have started playing the game Happy Farms, introduced to me by Ama...I keep helping everyone out with their weeds and worms. I think somebody has been sabotaging each others farms haha. It's quite cute seeing the plants grow, but it takes too long for that to happen. I'm still playing Restaurant City too...I think the addictiveness of it is kind of wearing off for me, but I still play because they're always adding new things to the game...now you can purchase ingredients! Wow wow wow!
Ooh! I also started playing the ps3 game, littlebig planet! It is so cute! I love my little sackboy...it's an amazing game..you create your own world and levels for other people to play..everything about it so creative and allows you to really use your imagination. It takes a while to play though...hmm I think I'm starting to appreciate the entertainment of games...they are fun =D Gardening mama on the DS is my other new favourite game too...woo!
Gossip Girl, 90210 and How I Met Your Mother are all ending their seasons...boohoo! I guess I still need to finish off Dexter...must hunt for more TV shows!!
Gymming later this arvo..yay! I want a treadmill...must convince my mum that it's useful =)))
Anyway...rather hungry now so I guess that's it for now...must feed evy! =P
