The sky outside is so blue right now that it's hard to believe that the last few days have been so gloomy with rain and wind. I almost wish that it was raining outside right now...I just feel like curling up in bed and sleeping all day. I had a busy-ish day yesterday, which sucked the energy right out of me and I just feel like doing absolutely nothing right now, but the blue skies are calling me to be more active. So here I am, starting by updating this blog!
OK, so what happened to me on Tuesday? Well, I had work and as per usual it wasn't very eventful, just a steady day working with Ching, I think. Night time I can't remember what I did...it's terrible, my memory is gone or maybe nothing happened that was worth remembering? Hais...I just asked Dorky and he can't even remember...soooooo next!
Wednesday was just about the same as Tuesday, in not being very eventful. I didn't have work so I did some cleaning and at night I think dorky and me watched the movie New In Town, except it was downloaded. Halfway through the movie the voices were dubbed over by another language so we couldn't finish it! Haha...the movie was a romantic comedy starring Renee Zelwegger? Her last name has too many funny letters to remember. We'll finish that movie one day...
On Thursday, back to work! My weeks are getting so routined =( I kind of half miss uni, where each day is unexpected...I especially miss walking through the city each day! Anway there were a lot of people working today, Mel, Ching, Carla and Merry...all very capable workers too. It was quite fun and I didn't do much but take orders and wander up and down just chatting. At night I took Dorky for a drive to show him my wonderful skills and ended up at Utopia. We ended up chatting for longer than planned then all of a sudden two girls named Jas and Eva showed up out of the blue haha and joined us. So we chatted even more...silly girls ahaha.
Friday, work! After work dorky and me gymmed...first time gymming on a Friday, but it felt just like any other day. I couldn't run as much...I had a stupid stitch after one lap, so I just did intense incline power walking....that worked well =) After gym we decided to just relax at home like good children. It felt good.
Saturday, we had planned to go to jas's house to deliver karaoke equipment, but Dorky ended up saying it was getting late so plans changed suddenly and we didn't go. Instead, we had an early scrumotious dinner at Nandos...yummmm! We tried peri peri chips, not bad at all! Being Saturday night we decided to watch The Land of the Lost. It was so funny! It was rated PG, but it had drug references, course language and sexual reference...the cinema was full of little kids as well and you could so tell their parents were trying to keep in their laughter at the rude jokes haha. Go watch it if you can, there are so many funny moments in the movie =D After that, we went back to dorky's place because it was still so early! We watched The Holiday on TV and munched on Charlie, the Easter chick hehehe yum.
Sunday we woke up late and went to the DimSim Cafe for...dim sum! duh. We waited 30 minutes this time for a table...not as bad as last time. We ordered plenty of food that we didn't finish! There was a lady eating alone next to us, she ordered quite a lot for one person. I don't know if I could ever go out and eat dimsum by myself...I wouldn't enjoy it as much...dimsum to me is more of a social thing to do. I think most people think like that, all the waiters were watching her curiously...hmm I felt a bit sad for her. Dimsum came up to $40, which I thought was quite expensive, but he said it was cheaper than usual? Crazy...but thankyou for lunch =) We digested our food by walking through the city. I got the book the Time Traveller's Wife, finally found it! So I look forward to reading it, I hope it's good and that I don't finish it so fast this time. We didn't really buy anything else because we are trying really hard to save for the holiday...its been tough. Saying all that, we managed to browse for the whole afternoon and forgot about delivering the karaoke things to Jas...sorry Jas for making you wait!! As soon as I got home I had to go out again to a work dinner to celebrate Merry's 50th at the Emperor's Kitchen. To my surprise and shock, Rachel told us that she had sold the business and would be leaving in a week!! That means a new boss and new management...I don't really think anyone knew what to say..poor Merry haha her brithday was suddenly masked by my bosses news! It's quite sad...I've been working under my boss for almost 5 years now...she called me her loyal worker, but now there will be someone new...I will no longer get away with things like eating and having super flexible hours. Should I leave too? Hmm...maybe this year I probably will...
Anyway, the dinner! It took over an hour for our food to come out to us...everyone was getting so hungry and complaining....even we don't take that long to get food out to people! But yeah...the food was OK, not that great, but we finished everything and was allowed to get any dessert of our choice..I got this peach icecream...in the shape of an actual peach! It was yum. Having the dinner with my workmates was nice, I thought it would be really boring, but everyone was chatty...think my bosses news really shook me...could it be our last time together? Hmm...sad.
Now it's Monday night! I started this entry int he morning, which carried on until the arfternoon, then that notti Jas called me out for lunch. We went to Taurus only to find it was closed! So we drove to Spencer Village, which was also closed!! So stupid, why do food places like to close on Mondays? Anyway, we ended up eating at Jan's Cafe (we thought was a ripoff name of Han's Cafe haha)...jas ordered quite yummy tomyum noodle soup and I got loh mee. When our food came out, I was surprised at mine...the loh mee wasn't black, but white? with udon noodles...haha it looked weird. It had shredded carrot and cabbage in it too. The taste? like chicken and sweet corn soup? It was quite nice though...luckily! After our lunch we bought peanut snacks from the Asian grocery and then headed to Ama's place so that we could disturb her =) She was home watching a Singaporean series called the Dreamcatcher, so we watched too...it was pretty addictive and had a lot of Nyonya actors in it....grrrr I hate that girl! We ended up watching it for around 4 hours? Ama's mummy also cooked noodles and we ate several bowlfuls...very yum, even the fatty porky bits that Jas didn't like heheh! Thanks to Ama's mummy =) Afterwards we went to bbt alone...so sad. I decided to try a new flavour...roasted wheat...omg, the roasted wheat pieces were quite disgusting =\ But we ended up having our gossips, which made up for the bad bbt hehehe...good to catch up again =D Now I'm home again all cold and coughing =( Sigh stupid cough...GO AWAY!!
Missed out on gym, oh well...tomorrow we shall =D
