Sorry for not updating as often peeps...i've been rather busy with other things lately. I must not neglect this blog!
So, alot has happened since my emo day haha..i guess more happier things, which is good =) I've spent time with friends and family and also being productive with certain things has really lifted my mood alot. Also, since my brother left for Sydney, for some reason, I feel a little bit more at ease...it might be because no one picks stupid fights with me anymore...haha, i wonder if i will ever miss that. Anyway, I digress...what exactly have i been up to???
On Saturday night, dorky and me attended Calvin's official farewell dinner with dorky's fellow workmates, held at Zapatas in northbridge! It was really sad for Calvin, not because he was leaving, but because he had hurt his tooth a couple of days beforehand, which meant he couldn't fully enjoy eating dinner! haha but it was funny too, everyone gave him crap for it. Anyway we ordered a lot of cocktails to share...I didn't get my pina colada, but tried death by chocolate, which was sooooo yummy! It tasted just like a chocolate milkshake and I ended up drinking half a jug of it. The others ordered stronger cocktails...I didn't really like them and plus I was drugged up with cold and flu tablets...so drinking too much would have bad consequences! Damn cold!! After a few drinks our food came! we got to share nachos, which were really good, mostly because we were starving and everything seems to taste better when you are hungry. My group finished our plate until it was almost spotless...the other groups sucked because they hardly touched theirs and I so wanted to eat their leftover nachos, but I'm glad I didn't because the mains that we got were uber filling. I didn't even finish mine T_T Yumyum mexican fooooood. Then we had dessert and for some reason I got the pavlova, which wasn't very nice at all...the dessert spoilt the meal! So I just ate dorky's chocolate mousse =)
After dinner we all made our way to Pot Black to play a few arcade games and watch some of them play pool. I was already getting sleepy by this stage of the night...so sad. Anyway...after a few events, it was time to head back home...I was feeling like craaaaap and off to bed I went.
What else...
On Tuesday, my mum accompanied me in handing out resumes to schools around my area. Hehe, finally applying for relief teaching jobs! It was so nerve-racking going around and asking if I could apply for jobs...why, why why? I felt so unprepared for things, I hate being unprepared...my mind goes all blank and I just panic haha. I think I stuttered with my words at the first school that I applied at...so scary. I was even interviewed at a school, but luckily the deputy principal was really nice and friendly and gave me hope! haha...I hope he calls me for jobs! After applying for around 6 schools, I decided it was enough and went home. At night dorky took me to the movies and we watched the Ugly Truth! It was a very humorous movieeeee...all was good except for the annoying asians behind us with their uber annoying laughs...omgosh..we just wanted to punch their faces in!! haha...
During the week I just had work and nothing exciting happened. I drove my baby jazz around a few times...she's so smooth..i'm so in love haha! I still need to fill in my log book and hopefully by next week I will finally be on my P's...driving alone sounds scary! Eep...must practise practise practise!
OK...on Saturday, dorky accompanied to Woodridges, where I shopped for teaching resources. Woodridges is the best...I could've bought so much from there, but too bad everything was expensive =( Oh well, I guess I can always go back and buy things little by little. I love books and stickers and stamps and music books wahoo =)Hehe at night, it was Jennie's 21st gangsta birthday at the Paramount! But before that happened a few of us met at Jas's house to drop off a cake, meant for Asile and then Eva, ama, jas, dorky and me all hopped into the one car and went out for dinner at Formosa! It was my first time eating a proper meal there and I must say...the food isn't half bad..I would go there and eat again! We sat at Formosa for a while just watching the TV, chatting and getting sleepy in the comfy chairs before we started towards the Paramount. When we got there...Jennie hadn't arrived yet haha, she was fashionably late for her own party...funny girl! We lined up to get in but Jas couldn't make it in because she was wearing sneakers, neither could chucky, so they had to find shoes. Anyway, inside the paramount, we had a few drinks and chatted with one another. It was a good catchup! After a while we all ended up outside and decided that Metros was the way to go, but alas! dorky and me couldn't get in, so 4 of us went to uncle billys and had a wonderful supper.
After all that, we went back to jas's house and ama and me stayed over =D our first slumber party at jas's! it was fun and we all dozed off before 3am, then wei2 woke us up and joined us for the sleep over. I can't I remember much after he arrived because before long, we were all happily sleeping. Jas and me got woken up a lot of times by the super bright sun...not enough sleep =( Once we were up we headed to ama's house where we celebrated Asile's 23rd birthday =) Dorky met up with us and then we sang, we cut and we ate some wonderful green tea cake! Then we had dimsum at yummy bbq. We had to share tables, which was so awkward =/ But meh! Afterwards we headed back to ama's where jas and me hung out for the day being lazy and also taking notti pictures of ama's things. Fun day with the girls =)
On Tuesday was Jennie's actual birthday! HAPPY 21ST JENNIE!!! She invited us all out for dinner at Chin's! There were around 20 of us in total and we took up 2 tables. The food was nice and quite filling, only because our table was determined to finish everything off and that we did! We had a lot of laughs and chatted away happily, it was fun! Once dinner was over we all went to Utopia and had some bbt and gave Jen a birthday cake! The cake was yummy, especially the cream! Oh yes! Wei, jas and eva were late, but they brought with them entertainment...wei2 dressed like a trampy girl ahaaha...it was ditsurbing =\ I'm sure that everyone there had a really great time and I hope Jennie enjoyed her birthday!!!!
On Wednesday night, dorky and me went and watched the movie Inglourious Basterds by Quentin Tarantino (I think that's how you spell his name). It was a 2.5 hour movie and it started off really slowly with a lot of dialogue. I felt like dozing off, but I tried not to. It was quite brutal, as expected but I think that there could've been a lot more action. It was only exciting during the climax of the movie at the end. Hmmm, I wouldn't say it was the best movie that I have ever watched but...the effects and picture was really unique and so were the characters and I guess that made up for the slow build up hehe! Watch it if you are a fan of Tarantino!
That's it for nowwwww...tonight there is a glory game...hope it doesn't raiiiiin!!!

I started work again last week to replenish my savings...so very poor right now boohoo! Work has been fairly busy, for some reason a lot of customers have started coming in. Hmmm, maybe they have noticed that things have changed, with new management and all. I also feel like I am getting ordered around a lot more, actually everyone has...it's getting on my nerves slightly. I guess I'm not used to having a proper boss who has expectations and high standards haha! I will get used to it or who knows, I might even just leave...
Anyway, today is my day off again, which means blogging time =) I've been busy since I got back from Sg...mostly with work, cleaning my room (which gets messy every couple of days), eating, eating and more eating!
In the past week and a half, dorky and me ventured to Freo, where we finally tried the ramen noodles inside the freo markets. They were SO good! I don't think that I was really much of a ramen fan, until I tasted them. The place was so crampt and tiny, but it added a bit of charm to the place I reckon. If you haven't tried them...please do, but go on a Friday, when the markets are less busy =) Also on that day we had our wonderful dose of San Churros, this time we tried the tapas set...oh gosh, what yummy truffles they have =DDD No hot chocolate this time, but it was a good thing, otherwise we wouldn't have finished our desserts!
On Friday night, it was Eva's winter wonderland 21st birthday party =D HAPPY 21ST EVA (for the 8/8/88!!) Such a special birthdate haha, exactly like my cousins =) Anyway, I had no idea what to dress up as and I spent a good few hours thinking and brainstorming...in the end I wore a beanie with snowflakes pinned to my clothes ahaha I looked stupid, but hey...the snowflakes looked cool! I even stuck jewels to my face lol. Dorky wore an oversized hockey shirt..cheh! Eva had hired out a sports club, which had a bar. She did really well with the deocrations, it looked very wintery hehehe! We snacked on yummy fingerfoods, yumyum samosas and meatballs!!! We mingled around, had some drinks and watched some people get very tipsy too...it was all very entertaining =D Then, the beautiful winter cake came out, we all sang happy birthday, with Eva looking so lovely in her snowgirl costume hehe! Then came the speeches, by Tim, Jas, Tammy and her brother...everyone did very well =) We ate the yummy cake, mingled a little bit more then before we knew it, the party was over =( I had a really good time, but I hope Eva had an even more wonderful time! I also took away a souvenir from the night...one of the snowflake deocrations hehe...I hope she didn't mind =P
On a Saturday, my parents and me went car hunting at Melville in hopes to find me my first car =D We looked around Honda, hoping to find a lovely 2nd hand car. After looking around a little while, we were approached by a salesman who took us to see the new Jazz and the next thing we knew, my dad was test driving the GLi model. It lacked quite a bit of power, you could hear it huffing and puffing up hills, so...my dad then test drove the VTi model, which was much better =D so much smoother haha! After alot of discussion and leaving the poor salesman out in the cold, we decided to go purchase the car =D A lovely crystal black Honda Jazz, awww thanks mum and dad! But don't think that I got it for free though lol...I promised my mum to pay for half of it...so there we go, I'm in debt...but yay my first car! vroom vroom vrooom!
That night, Calvin invited us out for a farewell dinner? He had left Dorky's workplace and invited a few ex-workmates for dinner at a korean place called Dae Jang Kum. A very familiar place that I think I had been to before with peeps, but only had water and didn't order anything because it was too expensive? Haha, does anyone remember that? Yes, well we went there and tried the BBQ, which wasn't too bad, it was quite tasty! We also had seafood pancake, a hotpot of some kind, which was awesome! we tried their kimchi hotpot, which was also very good...omgosh that place was so good, fullstop. =D we were all very full afterwards, but very happy. It was quite a fun dinner because dorky's workmate, Jacky? and his gf, who were korean were there and they were teaching us alot of korean things, like phrases and talked about korean food (yum) and they also enlightened us with their very amusing couple stories...they kept bullying each other! Very funny people =) But it's sad how they have too leave Perth soon, I really hope that they find a way to stay...
On Sunday, dorky and me decided to go have lunch at Chenelle's parent's new Shanghai restaurant in Northbridge...where their old cafe was. The interior was really nice, they were going for a hollywood/old china look. The furniture was very nice and we even got asked to go sit in the super tall chairs ahaha, they were so cool! The menu was quite limited though, but everything looked pretty good, so we decided to try the meatballs dish and the pig stomach. Phwoaar, the food wasn't too bad at all..I actually really liked it..it was pretty different from what I expected it to be too. The meatballs were succulent and flavoursome, as was the pig stomach yummmm! Charles was working there too as was Chenelle and her two twin sisters, omg they are all so tall, I felt so midget =( Charles sat with us and chatted for a while and we ended up organising to go watch GI joe that night!
After eating lunch, dorky and me decided to spend time in nb to kill time before the movie. We ended up at Formosa with bbt and watched some Taiwanese game show...it was pretty cool. I love the comfy couches there, but the place is super fobby haha! After bbt, we walked to dae jang kum and ate again, this time...dinner! Hehe, we tried the crab stew this time...it was bloody huge and they really put in a lot of crab pieces in the stew too. The soup was so tasty and the crabs just made it even tastier as we kept eating. In the end we struggled and couldn't finish it =( A dish that was meant for 2 people, felt like it should've been for 4! It was a great meal though =) Once dinner was over, we drove to Carousel and met up with the 2 giants. GI joe was a lot better than I had expected! Not a bad action film at all...at least it didn't drag on like Transformers did =P I wish I was a GI joe too =( After the movie..we said our farewells to the 2 tall ones and home we went.
On Tuesday night, dorky surprised me with a present! He asked me to close my eyes and hold out my hands...and he placed a box in them....a GPS! wahooooo thankyou dorkyyyyyy, hopefully i will never get lost now hahah! What a nice darling he is muahs! Anyway we had planned that night to eat at Ipoh gardens! We tried the fried rice because I'm still in a fried rice phase hehe and also the dry ipoh horfun. They were both yum, especially the dry horfun, I actually like it better than the soup one! Afterwards we went to garbos and flipped a coin to watch either my sister's keeper or the ugly truth...heads fro my sister's keeper it was! As we were about to walk in, Jenny spotted me! Hehe, what a nice coincidence to see her and my old church friends again...we chatted a bit, they told me that they had just watched my sister's keeper and that they cried throughout the whole movie..uh oh! haha. The movie was so touching that I cried 4-5 times, even when i tried to hold back the tears...sigh, i'm just too emotional. Dorky didn't cry at all...grr to him! If you have read the book before and found it sad, then watch the movie...highly recommended =) That was it for the night! Next movie that I want to watch is Orphan =D
Today is Friday and I am now sitting at home alone, wondering if I should start re-writing my resume. I'm going to go hand them out next week...my year off from teaching has come to an end, but now I'm excited to start my career...only scary thing is...not knowing if I'll get phonecalls for relief jobs. Hmm I hope I do, I really need to pay off my car haha! Argh! so much to organise!! Wish me luck!!

Y Y Y
oops! my apologies for not blogging for so long. Damn fish a fish game on facebook...it's so addictive! also, i guess that i haven't blogged in a while because i know that this post will be super long, like writing an essay, only more fun...i've been putting it off...so since today is my day off i've decided it is time to share with you all my holiday experience in singapore!! (the highlights anyway =P)
here goes...
Getting there:
We started our journey at around 5am on Saturday, our first destination was Perth international airport. All I can remember was sharing a breakfast with dorky and feeling sick afterwards..eating early in the morning is hard when you are not fully awake. Anyway, after a wait, we boarded the singapore airlines flight SQ 215? or 224? and i immediately cuddled into the seat with the blanky and pillow that they provided ehehe! The plane wasn't entirely full, so after takeoff, dorky and me found some free seats to ourselves =D I watched Coraline, which I thought was pretty scary and I also played tetris. I think dorky watched Hannah Montana haha! We were also served breakfast, which I didn't really enjoy...I was still too full from the breakfast i had before...i didn't even eat the nuts =( After 5 hours, which I guess didn't seem that long, compared to a bloody tiger airways flight, we had arrived in SINGAPORE!!!!
It begins:
We got off at terminal 3? I think it was..it was new...why is singapore always changing?? But it was quite nice I guess..we didn't really have time to look around much. Once we got out, dorky's dad's best friend was there waiting for us. The first thing that he did was take us to eat. Good thing I was hungry because he and dorky's dad went crazy with food...there was yam rice, kwaychup, turtle soup, pork trotters, veges, roast chicken and i think lobok? we ate until we wanted to be sick! After lunch we were transported to Holiday Inn - atrium....but haha it was the wrong hotel, we were actually booked at Holiday Inn - Parkview on Orchard. The hotel people also got something wrong so we got free upgrades for our rooms. The rooms they gave us were niiiiiice! For the rest of the day we explored Orchard rd and enjoyed our long awaited old chang kee!!! Good old fishballs on a stick =P
I would like to write about everything that we did each day, but the trouble is, I can't remember what days that we did things on, so luckily for you, I'll only bore you with the highlights!
The highlights:
Shopping!:Yes, of course...the first thing that we, or I did after eating was shop. We went to alot of places along Orchard for 3 days! We checked out shopping centres that I have never been to before like Orhcard Central and other places down that end of Orchard. Of course we also visited our favourites along the way, like far east plaza, heeren, cine, list goes on...The only bad thing was that nothing much was open at 10am...we made an effort to wake up early everyday so that our days wouldn't be wasted sleeping in ahaha..I think we did pretty well =) Along Orchard was a new shopping centre called Ion? It's so big and the design of it is really nice and from all that I could see...they were selling expensive things...cartier and LV! Most of the shops weren't open yet, but we were lucky enough to see the grand opening of LV with a lion dance performance! As well as shopping along Orchard, we went to vivo city, where I bought heaps from Daiso, Suntec city, Marina Square, Junction 8 in Bishan? Chinatown, where surprisingly I bought lots of things from....and gosh lots of other random places too. But shopping seemed the same place after place after a while and I only got a few good things from the Great Singapore Sale. But, shopping did make me happy =D Thanks dorky for following me around!
Visiting dorky's popo:One morning, early on in our trip we visited Dorky's popo and had breakfast with her. She was still the same as before with her umbrella, helping her to walk (i was told that refused to use a proper walking frame) She is one of the most spritely popo's that I have ever seen...she's just so cute and is always smiling =) Dorky is lucky to have such a lovely popo hehe! Anyway, we ordered plenty of food for her to eat and then we walked off the food by exploring some of the markets nearby. Soon dorky's cousin, shaun met up with us for a bit and we all went back to their place to dry off our sweat! Argh it was bloody hot and humid. We watched shaun eat his prata slowly and he gave us our Liverpool tickets (excitable dorky). After a bit of chitchat we headed back to orchard and popo gave us all a hug hehe!
Afternoon out with Nathan:On one of the days we also went out with Dorky's friend Nathan. He picked us up in his little Mazda 2, which smelled strongly of lemon...he said it was to mask the sweaty smell haha. He picked up another friend, Sue i think her name was and we went shopping in search for a PSP. We walked up and down looking at gadgets in simlim? or funan? (excuse the spelling haha), then Nathan took us to Little India! Someplace that i don't think I've really explored before. It was really fun driving down LI, all the indians that walked all over the road...the cars had to give way to the people! We drove slowly and the indians just shift slightly to let you through, it was funny. We ended up at a building that starts with M, I forget the name (sounded like something from the Lion King). Anyway...my goodness, that place is so awesome! It had levels and levels full of everything that you could imagine and in bulks! clothes, shoes, appliances, make up, homeware, gaming, electronics and a whole level full of gold jewelry...it was so amazing...quite crowded though...but a really fun experience. I think dorky fell in love with the place...he has something for the indians. Since we were in LI, we decided to eat some wonderful prata...cheese and mushroom! Afterwards, Nathan drove us to Suntec city where we visited the humungus fountain of wealth. It's the biggest apparently? or was that just for the southern hemisphere...bleh anyway...i have to say...it was pretty big. We watched the fountain show..it was quite pretty, the water was used as a screen and light/laser images were projected onto it...you could even type in a message for it to project out, it was pretty cool. But because of the water, everyone sweated more than usual...it was so uncomfortable haha! After a while we got tired of it and were dropped back to our hotel. Thanks for the adventure Nathan!
Exploring the hotel:This trip, dorky and me had talked about using its facilities more, instead of ignoring them. What we really wanted to use was the hotel's pool and spa! I think on the second night at the Holiday Inn, we decided to go check it out. It was so nice! There were a few people out swimming, so we decided not to show off our wonderful swimming skills...we just blobbed about in the spa. There was also a sauna and gym, but we were far too lazy to use it....ah regret...should've used it more...so round now =(
Moving to the Intercontinental hotel:After our 3rd night at the Holiday Inn, we had to change hotels to the Intercontinentel hotel in Bugis! So to Bugis we went. The hotel's location was really good, just downstairs and out the doors was Bugis Junction and there was great food all around us. After settling into our rooms (which wasn't as good as Holiday Inn), we explored downstairs. I love Bugis Junction haha
Singapore Zoo:Dorky and me also visited the zoo! I was so excited! I hadn't been to the zoo in sg since I was 7? We caught a taxi there because we were too lazy to bus it. We bought our tickets and were given a whole lot of pamphlets and then zoooooom, we were off exploring! Hehe...one of our first stops was the white tigers...they're so beautiful and one of them was quite active so we were able to capture a lot of great photos! We saw the cute looking pygmy hippo, which didn't do anything at all but let fish nibble on it, we saw cute otters that reminded me of my friends ahahah, polar bears, howling monkies, australian animals ahaha (their emu roams around!), butterflies that kept landing on dorky...hmmph and only one landed on my head, but flew away quickly grr! we watched one zoo show, which was lame as. They only had a few animals, I think their story line was too stupid and probably ruined the whole show ahaha! The Jurong Bird park show was so much better! we also went on the tram ride, which was pretty boring because it didn't show us much at all, it was just nice not to sweat from walking. Then we also went on the boat ride. I think the boat was new? anyway...again it was boring, but the breeze was nice and I guess the view was pleasant too...no animals, apart from the pictures on the side of the boat...at the end the zoo keeper passed around snake skins and scales for us to touch lol. After the boat, we got hungry so we stopped and ate at KFC...I tried the mushroom burger and it was so tiny but yum! after lunch we ordered a double chocolate brownie sundae from ben and jerry's...ity was so awesome!! We ate that whilst watching the kiddies play in the water park, which looked equally as awesome as our sundae...if only i had brought bathers with me! After food, we visited a few more animals, took random pictures, including one with ah meng the super orang utan!! Yey...the zoo was cool, nicer than Perth's one that's for sure =P
Lau Pat Sat and various food places:On one of the nights, many of us met up together for some good good food at lau pat sat! Lots of clams, which I was too afraid to eat, crabs, satays, kambing soup, baby octopus and stingrays were ordered. Yomyom! I love food! and because one of alan's friend's had come to sg, we went to LPS again and this time ordered even more food....this time there was an additional 2 rounds of black pepper crab, the buggy things, which were so good! and plenty of beer haha. We ate happily and alan's friend even dropped crab on himself hehehe....and I thought I was a grub =P
Some of the other places we ate at were random Japanese places...gosh the jap food is good there and quite affordable too, especially the sets that they have! we also tried a place that sold just ramen..it was pretty good and the flavours that they had were quite unique..shame I can't remember their names though! we also ate the best beef noodle soup is Bugis...I shall have to try the gravy one next time...we also found a 24 hour wonton noodle place near our hotel, we travelled to Toa Payoh just to eat noodles there, we went to Ang Mo Kio to buy the curry and bread from Old Chang Kee...I swear it's the only place that has it...we tried the rendang burger from Burger King and you just have to try it, it tastes so unreal as well as the taro pie yumyum! I had otakotak and my fatty pork in a bun, which was so sinful but too good not to eat, jco donuts..pretty average, although the oreo ones were wicked! a giant mango, which i used the back of a fork to cut with, a bagful of mangosteen, so much durian that I almost never want to eat it again (thanks to dorky's dad's best friend!) and we also visited a whole lot of random eating places to eat all the wonderful hawker foods kuehs! Oh the food was great...and there was so much more that we didn't get to try =( we didn't even get to go to Dempsey Hill! Next time hehe =D
Dinners with dorky's rellies:Within the trip, we had 2 big dinners with dorky's relatives. On one night, we had dinner at a karaoke restauraunt with his aunty, popo, shaun, his gf, 2 family friends and his dad's best friend again hehe. We had a banquet meal, with food like a roast piglet (poor piggy), chicken with its head still ont he plate, fish, prawns in a steamer, noodles and other foods...I guess the dinner was nice, but the whole concept of having karaoke in the room was weird! They only played the super oldies songs haha...very interesting.
On another night, we went out for another banquet with dorky's dad's side of the family and I got to meet his other popo for the first time! She had saggy cheeks and the thickest glasses on hehe...quite cute! She wasn't able to walk, but it seemed like everyone loved her, because they bullied her lots ahah. We kind of pretty much had the same dinner as the one before, minus the pig with an addition of yam paste...oh that stuff is good! the taste of the food was nicer and so was the atmosphere haha! Thanks to dorky's family for looking after us =)
Trip to JB:On the last Saturday of our trip, dorky and me decided to visit my aunty in JB to run run some errands for my mum. We woke up pretty early and caught an express bus in Bugis to JB! We had no idea what we were doing! The bus stopped at the sg checkpoint and we got our passport stamped and all but when we came out...our bus had gone and it seemed like everyone was waiting for any kind of bus to come...so we took any bus to the next point, then from there we cauight another random bus to Larkin bus stop in JB. my goodness, that journey was semi scary. We waited for my aunty a little while and she took us back to her house, where she gave us some logan soup, which was nice and cooling. We waited for my cousin to arrive and then we went out for lunch...bak kuh teh!! It was the nicest that I had ever had before and my aunty's husband kept piling meat into dorky's bowl hehe! Then, afterwards they took us to Holiday Plaza to get my mum's glasses done. I tried to get my contacts done too, but they would have to order mine in =( boohoo and it would've just cost me 100rm! anyway, while we waited we shopped around the plaza and bought some random shirts. Once the specs were done, we went back to the house and rested a bit then off we went to City Square for more shopping! At CS I bought a lot more things...too cheap compared to sg! I didn't expect to buy so much in a day. After around about 2-3 hours, we went and had dinner together at a restaurant. The food was pretty good! I especially loved the noodles that were ordered...yumyum! Dorky and I also sneaked off to pay for the food which was only 232rm! so bloody cheap for the amount we ordered...my rellies weren't happy that we paid...my aunty tried to pay me back and failed hohoho! anyway after the meal they took us back to the busport and we caught a normal bus back...it took sooooooo long that it made us sleepy. But yes that was our day trip to JB! an experience for dorky and fun shopping fun for me hehe!
Liverpool Day:As you would have probably known, one of the main reasons for going on this trip was to watch Liverpool play and that day finally came for the excitable dorky and alan haha! We all woke up and had our lunches and then met back at the hotel and then started walking to the Raffles hotel for a few drinks at the Long Bar! We all ordered a Singapore Sling, because it's what the place is famous for and it's where the drink was invented? but they were expensive...like $30+? and you couldn't really taste the alcohol...but I liked it still! The Long Bar was quite nice, they had a massive bowl of peanuts on every table and peanut shells were allowed to be thrown on the floor! So i had lots of fun throwing it at people and stepping on them! Shaun and his gf also met up with us for the game...poor uncle didn't want to go =( Anyway, afterwards, we caught a taxi to the stadium and there were already so many people wandering around. oooh you could feel the excitement in the air! We didn't really know where to go so we walked about until we saw a long line and got into it. Luckily it was the right one and when we entered the stadium...there was a sea of red inside...so awesome, but not quite over whelming as not all the seats were filled up! We exchanged part of our ticket for a Liverpool scarf yey! and also dorky and alan went to buy drinks, which took them ages...they missed the first few minutes of the game...they were so pissed off ahaha. But before the actual game started, I had lots of fun looking around at the crowd, lots of Indian kids behind us chanting "Liberpoooool", a ManU fan wearing a ManU shirt walked through a crowd of Liverpool supporters and got booed by everyone, so the auxilary police made him change his shirt ahaha...it was funny. Then we watched the teams warm up and the crowd did the mexican wave a few times...then the game started!
The game was slow in the beginning, no one scored and dorky's beloved Fernando Torres wasn't on yet so people were getting agitated...seemed like they only went to see him. Nothing was happening for a while and then as the first half was about to end, the "white pony" scored! wahoo! the second half was much more exciting...after that goal, Liverpool kept scoring and scoring. Then Torres came on and everyone went wild...it was hard not to get hyped up! Before we knew it Liverpool had won the game 5-0 against the Singapore national team...they tried! hehe. We hung around a bit to see the Liverpool team walk the stadium then made our way out. It was so hard to get a taxi so we hopped onto a random bus and ended up at a hotel. From the hotel we caught a taxi to Geylang, which was next to the stadium! Haha so really, we could've just walked there. At Lorong 9, we had the best beef horfun that I have ever had! It was soooo good! Lovie also met up with us and she took us back to our hotel and stayed a bit for a chat...thanks Lovie! Then off to bed we went...such a surreal day =)
Singapore Flyer:On our second last day of the trip, dorky and me decided that it was time to try out the Singapore flyer! It was drizzling a little bit but we had run out of time to go so we took a taxi there and made the most of it. The price of the tickets was a bit of a ripoff, but the walk to the carriages was like we were going through an airport...with checkpoints, security screenings etc... it was funny. We had a carriage to ourselves and dorky got so nervous haha! We used our headphones to listen to the history of sg and took lots of scenery pics...even though it was raining, there was still heaps for us to see. It was quite nice, but I think it would have been even nicer at night =) Aww I was so proud of dorky for facing his fear of heights..good job!
ByeBye Singapore:10 days sure went really fast and before we knew it, we were packing our bags and then had our last breakfast in singapore...boohoo! Dorky's family friends wanted to take us out for dimsum early in the morning at a very old restaurant...I couldn't eat much at all, but thanks very much for taking us there. We said our farewells and were dropped back at our hotel for check out. We did a bit of last minute shopping around Bugis, but ended up eating again, then once again at the wet markets...argh so much food! We savoured our last few moments in sg then caught a taxi to the airport and checked in. We did lots of duty free shopping...funfun, but went a bit crazy with it too. We all met up at the boarding gate and then after a while took our seat on the plane, which was full this time. I enjoyed watching Obsessed and most of Hannah Montana. We all enjoyed a yummy chicken meal with the yummiest bread rolls...ah I will dream about those rolls!! Soon enough we landed back in Perth, where my dad was waiting for me in his socks and thongs...yes, it sure was great to be back in the freezing cold weather again.
What a great trip it was. Many thanks to dorky for looking after me and not getting sick of me! Love you! and also to his brother and dad for all those times they treated us to meals! Funfun =D
Yeaps, that's it for this particular blog! I hope that it didn't make your eye go all funny hehe. I also still need to blog about the week that has just gone by haha...sigh...maybe later =P rest time now and maybe I'll post pictures up later too hehe!
