(Dorky with his Birthday log cake haha and a lighter as his candle!)
We celebrated his birthday on Friday night with a dinner at Nicholson's bar and grill! The servings there are pretty massive and quite yum too! He ordered a seafood marinara and I got fish with prawns and beer battered chips! Such a great dinner =) We were also seated outside, which was awesome because we were right next to the fountain they had and also the air was just right too, very comfy haha!
On his actual birthday he had work (boo!) but afterwards we shopped for bbq groceries! We bought heaps of food, the most we've ever gotten together haha. I also bought him a cake even though he already received one from work =) Now he has lots of cake at home. Also I got quite emotional that day, I'm not sure why? But I'm guessing it was because of my P!!! Grrrr!! Anyway, I went home after that and rushed my butt off to get ready for his work's Christmas dinner! I didn't know what to wear so I tried this and that on and finally found something to wear but couldn't find shoes and as I was still looking dorky had already arrived and I wasn't ready...sigh. I just wore anything really haha. Dorky looked very smart in his formal attire hehe muahs! We went to the Royal Perth Golf club? It's the golf club you see that's next to the freeway...never thought I'd ever go there, but I'm glad I did, because it's quite nice inside! We arrived and mingled a bit with his workmates. I noticed most people were old and had families haha. We sat at the IT table (the computer geeks) and pulled our bonbons! I got marbles as a prize! Just what I always wanted!! .With the food...we started with prawns and mussels followed by a buffet dinner with turkey, hams, fish, polenty of salads, cold meats, vegetables and red wine beef...it was all quite impressive, much better than last year's xmas dinner anyway =) For dessert, not so impressive haha. There was fruit cake and fruit mince pies, pavlova, brownies, fruit salad with mango, which dorky almost ate!! They also had prizes which were raffled off and I actually won something =D Haha I was so happy even though I won something I didn't really want...speakers! I had a really great night and I hope he loved it too, thanks to my bebe for making me a part of his work family =)
On Sunday, I woke up early-ish and started preparing food for the bbq! Made pasta, potato salad, vegetable kebabs and my mum made mee goreng! Woah lots of work to be done, lucky I had the morning to myself to prepare otherwise there would've been chaos with my mum cooking too haha. Dorky was also very busy out and about buying some last minute things for the bbq, like mountains of ice! Finally, we got everything together and went to Millpoint and were disappointed that all the sheltered areas were taken up! So we just used a bbq pitt and found shade under a tree. People started arriving really fast haha and we weren't organised! We got lots of help and soon everyone was settled which was good! Had a nice time eating yummy seafood (scallops!) and sausages and chicken wings yum! I hope everyone enjoyed the food hehe. Dorky did most of the cooking, even though I said I would hehe, but he seemed happy there catching up with Fooky and Calvin =) Hope that my bebe had a great bbq!!! There's still lots of lamb for you to munch on! Also, some highlights...
Haha, thanks to everybody that turned up and made my dorky happy =)
At night, we went over to Jas's house and spent the night playing games. We tried out the supermario wii game, which was fun! Team work ppl!! And, we also played a card game called BANG!. It was a pretty cool game, I must admit...we all got quite into it, although poor ama was out of the game really fast haha! Next time we'll keep you alive =) To end the night, we played bluff...i suck at that game, I don't bluff!! Had a great day with all my friends and of course my wonderful dorky =)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY =)

OK, let's backtrack a little bit back to last Saturday (12/12)! Dorky and me went shopping for a clock for Sara's house warming party. We left it a bit late, but meh...we got it in time and that's what counts I guess haha =) And the clock we got was cool, you can put photos where the numbers 1-12 are, I hope they like it =) At night we went on a mini road trip up north to Beechboro, where Sara and Kim's new house was. It was very nice and bright inside, so lucky...I want a house too! The party was outside, where there was lots of gluten-free party food for Tracee hehe! There was also fruit punch and Sara, Nat and me made super long straws and used them to drink the punch because we were too lazy to use cups ahahah fun fun! I had a really good catch up with the uni girls too (even though Jess left after 40 minutes) I do miss them heaps sometimes, I just can't believe I've known them for 5 years now?? Too bad they live so far away, otherwise we could catch up more =( Hehe, I hope our plans for a Mandurah picnic happens suring the holidays =)
On Tuesday night, Dorky and me went to the WLPS end of year concert to watch the pre-primaries but I think we missed it. It was really windy too so we didn't stay very long. We then went to Campari Italian restaurant, where my brother used to work! We had a good, but kind of expensive dinner there...spaghetti bolognaise and and a penne dish with really good garlic bread! After dinner, since it was still early we went to Dome and had a nice hot drink and chat before we headed back home =) I love nights out with my dorky =)
On Wednesday I had relief teaching at WLPS in the pre-primary class! The kids were all so excited and crazy! Haha but it was fun because it was the second last day of school =D We played some xmas games outside, did some fun xmas activities and they also had a special xmas lunch with special ice cream lol. They were so funny, it was a nice end to my teaching semester. Oh! and I also received so many presents from the kids! I wasn't expecting anything at all, but I did and I was so overwhelmed I felt like crying! The parents were all so lovely to think of me =) I only wish I could've gotten the class for next year, but oh well, I guess things happen for a reason! If I ended up in Kal, then I wouldn't have met the wonderful staff at the primary school =) Wish them all the best and I thank them for all their help too hehe!
Friday! Jas had friends over from Singapore, Andre and Reuben! We went to Fremantle in the afternoon for their first outing adventure =) We went to the markets where they bought lots of Morish nuts and they tried the crepes there! They didn't finish the food haha. We walked around and picked up Jas's degree from Notre Dame (yay congrats!) and then we ended up at the Maritime Museum, where we promised them boats and sharks lol. There were boats, but no sharks haha! We browsed a bit and waited for Jen to arrive so we could have lunch at Cicerellos =) I think we ordered too much food...a seafood basket, seafood platter, salad and a fish and chips. We barely touched the food....so bad! But it did look great and overwhelming haha. AFterwards we went back home and rested =)
On Monday (after all of dorky's bday celebrations) Jas took Andre and Reuben on a road trip to Margaret River and I tagged along too! We left at around 9am, went to IGA and got out money and bought lollies and sunglasses? haha. Then off we went! Saw lots of farm animals along the way and barren lands and we all thought that everything was going well until I don't what happened and we ended up somewhere in Mandurah and got lost for 2 hours so we stopped for lunch at chooks? HAHA! I kind of thought that our trip would end early but nope, we persisted on and followed my GPS and finally after a few hours, ended up at our destination...the Margaret River Chocolate factory! Jas and me stole lots of free chocolate samples =D Greediness heehehe! But they were so good! We bought a bag full of goodies each and Andre and Reuben enjoyed some chocolate drinks...apparently the hot chocolate was good, so I might have to go back one day and try it =) Then after the chocolate factory, we decided to go visit the fudge factory, but we say a cheese factory along the way so we stopped and had some cheese tasting =D The cheeses were good! Jas bought a sweet chilli one =) Then it was the fudge factory, which was in the town I think...fudge was super sweet, but pretty good...we got some to share for karaoke...can't wait to try the peanut butter one! After we did that (which didn't take long at all) we decided to head back to Perth haha. The trip back was much shorter and more fun...everyone was acting all excited because they were all busting to go to the toilet haha! Heard lots of stories about NS...Andre talks heaps! (Must be a Singaporean thing =P Dorky does it too!) hehe. We finally reached kwinana freeway but there was a jam because of a truck spillage..omg it was so gross! There were guts on the side of the road...it was sick! Ew, bad images for life! Anyway we decided to bring the sg boys to try our version of Hawker food at Bullcreek hawkers. Haha, they were not impressed! I wasn't either...no chicken rice!! Overall we were gone for 12 hours! it was tiring but had a good time so thanks to Jas for bringing us all there, you're the best =)
Haha, ok...that's it for now =) Until next time folks....christmas fun in 3 sleeps =D
